Today, I joined thousands of people from across South Africa and from different nations in celebrating uMkhosi woMhlanga in KwaZulu-Natal.
I extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who travelled to be part of this important celebration of our heritage, culture and identity.
I also wish to express my profound appreciation to His Majesty King Misuzulu kaZwelithini for hosting and welcoming people from all parts of our country and from across the world to the Zulu Kingdom.
uMkhosi woMhlanga reminds us that our culture is a source of pride, unity and belonging. It is a celebration of who we are, while opening our doors to the world.

Carin Cilliers, 49 a South African Afrikaner refugee, left Boksburg on June 30 hoping for a new life in the US.
She had run her own business in South Africa & was a passionate horse lover.
Just over two months later in USA 🇺🇸 she died by suicide in Houston, Texas.
Despite an impressive CV, Carin reportedly struggled with loneliness, depression & finding employment in America. Her cousin said she had wanted to return to South Africa.
Her tragic death highlights the difficult reality of starting over in a foreign country, leaving home doesn't automatically mean finding a better life.

You're better off being with a person who's HIV and taking care of themselves than someone you don't even know their status..
Try dating a person with diabetes, stroke, blood pressure or any of the common illnesses and see if you'd be able to cope seeing your person going in and out of hospital because they ate too much meat or their sugar is low
