This is an LSU PR stunt. They e been trying to serve him for weeks, LSU knew and has helped him avoid it. Now they let it happen for clicks and gossip.
Probably the idea of the same Epstein/Weinstein PR manager Kiffin uses.

ICYMI, SEC tells schools: “Of course we will comply with court orders. Did you think we took a stupid pill this morning? Just go ahead and put those players we said were ineligible on your roster and see what happens.” 💣💥
NEW: The SEC has communicated with attorneys that they will comply with court orders allowing former pros to sign with teams inside the conference.

The second “here’s why I left” article this week. It’s Tuesday at 9:30am
NEW: Lane Kiffin explains to @walexander his decision to leave Ole Miss for LSU — and why time will prove he made the right choice:
"It'll show in Year 2, 3. It's going to show that we have the same systems, we have all this stuff and we brought it here, and combined it with the branding of LSU and the ability to sign elite high school (players). That will show. It may not be next year, but this wasn’t a one-year decision."

Part of Walker’s comment: "I never heard Lane even hint at any situation that involved that obstacle. We've been as good as anybody with talent acquisition, and the results speak for themselves."
Lane Kiffin's comments about Ole Miss Monday in Vanity Fair turned incendiary quickly. He told Rebels247 Monday those comments were "not calculated." The Grove Collective's Walker Jones responded to Kiffin as well. Story is here:

Your lede includes a lie the Mississippi Highway Patrol publicly refuted and disingenuous imagery meant to increase emotion. May as well own you wrote a puff piece for access and click purposes.
In explaining his decision to leave Ole Miss for LSU, Lane Kiffin seems willing to invoke Ole Miss's struggle to distance itself from symbols like the Confederate flag, Colonel Rebel, and the nickname "Ole Miss" itself.
When he was coaching there, Kiffin says, top recruits would tell him, “‘Hey, coach, we really like you. But my grandparents aren’t letting me move to Oxford, Mississippi.’ That doesn’t come up when you say Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Parents were sitting here this weekend saying the campus’s diversity feels so great: ‘It feels like there’s no segregation’” vanityfair.com/news/story/la…
