Useful info for Californians: street homelessness in Britain had almost been completely ended, until the government this guy worked for came to power, then it rose every year they were in office. We still havent recovered from the damage they did.
I’ll END mass homelessness in California by the end of 2027. Here’s how. 📺

Arguably the most consequential British election in this century so far, and for all the wrong reasons. Things would be so much better with chaos under Ed Miliband
At what point do we accept that this was in fact the most depressing election result of the 2010s

Thanks to Survation polling published yesterday, I've updated my best guess estimate as to what happened in Holborn & St Pancras at the census level The north/south divide ends up more pronounced than I expected, with a ~20pt difference in Labour vote share.

Obviously not helped by the fact he is in self imposed exile. But Holborn was George Galloway’s worst ever result in a Westminster election.

Arguing for the death penalty by appealing to the most famous case in world history of a guiltless man being wrongly executed is a titanic self-own
Christ Himself accepted the death penalty
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
While Jesus submitted to his crucifixion, the Gospels depict the process as unjust and interpret his acceptance as sacrificial, not as an endorsement of Capitol Punishment. bbc.co.uk/religion/relig… biblegateway.com/passage/?searc… biblegateway.com/passage/?searc…

Swings aren't uniform. In 2010, Dems lost a Senate seat in Obama +25 Illinois, but held one in McCain +13 West Virginia. Candidates matter. States don't move uniformly with the national trends. So on and so forth.
All of you people need to come back down to earth. Either Trump +16 Kansas is tied or Harris +7 Maine is. It's one or the other.

The funniest thing about this year is that one of the largest and most important traditional swing states, which has been red for several cycles, is truly purple again, but nobody really cares because it's so boring and because Texas is the glittering elephant in everyone's room.

Just for fun — an election held today using STV-PR would look something like this 🟥 LAB: 192 ➡️ RFM: 152 🟦 CON: 140 🟧 LDM: 66 🟩 GRN: 49 🟨 SNP: 20 🔲 PLC: 8 Based on current Westminster voting intention + Denis Mollison's boundary proposals (slightly adjusted)
