I've gotten some DMs but I'm terrible at checking those, so use this thread to ask me any questions you might have about Maine politics or its culture.
Will keep this pinned until Election Day.

If Jackson or Collins is winning by more than 3 ish we’ll be able to effectively call it probably within the first few town drops. Maine is fairly homogenous so if you have 10 towns all showing Collins say matching Trump 2024 it’s pretty clearly over for her
Bill Green's endorsement really did help cement Collins' 2020 win. But it's the sort of play that only works once, and it's upsetting to see a universally beloved Mainer agreeing to be used for a pretty low blow.
NEW: We did a focus group of Biden-Collins voters. Very interesting stuff. They all vaguely respect her. They all think her time is up

Take I heard recently from an independent voter: "Yeeeah, she might be corrupt, but she's powerful in the Senate."
Whatever you think about his stance, the perception that Collins is corrupt is totally novel and shows that the Navatek revelations have successfully broken through
In-state numbers for Democratic ME-SEN campaigns show a decisive Dem. enthusiasm advantage. In the Biden-Collins county of Sagadahoc, home to the shipbuilding town of Bath and many wealthy retirees: Trump recieved 41% of the vote. Collins has received just 8.8% of donations.
Small-dollar donations to Republican candidates are just apocalyptic. Selected examples here.
Our forecasting research found in-state individual contributions are a strong predictor of results. Way stronger than PAC spending!

Unfortunately, a lot of Franco New Englanders have been more than willing to rewrite their family's own history in order to avoid questioning their own relationship with prejudice and privilege.
Replying to @TroyJackson207
You’re FOS!
My mother is 100% French Canadian.
My neighbors growing up spoke broken English.
Absolutely nobody thought twice about that.
Everyone embraced each other.
Democrats thrive on division.
It’s the boogeyman tactic.
Vote RED!!!

Growing up in the St. John Valley, French heritage was all around me. But so was a long history of animosity toward French people and the French language.
For generations, families were discouraged from speaking French and passing it down to their children. In my family, that meant the language was never passed down to me.
That’s something we shouldn’t forget. Everyone should have the right to be proud of who they are, where they come from, and the culture and traditions that connect them to their community.
Especially in challenging times like these, there is strength in celebrating what brings us together.
Merci à l’Alliance Française du Maine. Thank you for celebrating and supporting French culture here in Maine.
True story: Two days ago I met a disaffected undecided voter ("they're all crooks, including Jackson") who told me he only decided to vote for Troy AFTER he saw him tell Collins to shut up
#MaineSenate
AdImpact: Susan Collins and the NRSC release ad in response to Jackson telling her to “shut up.”.

The year is 2048. President Nick Fuentes has announced Indian-Americans are no longer eligible for Medicare. Several island nations no longer exist. Millions are dead after a nuclear exchange between Egypt and Ethiopia.
Genevieve McDonald is still posting about Graham Platner.
Happy one year anniversary @TVietor08 of the screenshot seen around the world.
One of the clearest bear signals for Collins yet is the outright nastiness of ads like this. In the past, Collins asked Mainers to look beyond her partisan affiliation. Now, she is running a campaign barely distinguishable from that of any other Republican in a Harris +7 state
A great thread on this exact development: teapawt.net/CollinsWatch/status/21…
