whale sighting: $678,000 worth of extrinsic premium aggressively purchased on the zcash:native $ZCSH $60 ($2200 equiv) March deep OTM call option. the largest options purchasing campaign I have ever seen on this ticker by a factor of nearly 3x
this whale purchased 2100 contracts total (what a fitting number reminiscent of the 21M hard cap) in a step wise fashion, lots of 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 contracts, all together equivalent to roughly 5750 zcash:native notional exposure at 1.00 delta, or approximately $7M; while at current 0.31 delta, notional exposure is roughly $2.1M
with options, delta can increase as the underlying price moves higher, snowballing premium growth while avoiding the pitfalls of liquidation

Even if the current funding proposal passes, ZCG will still have enough money to fund this without coinholder approval.
I'll be back if/when ZCG is completely defunded and all its preexisting funds are clawed back.
