Introducing the fastest crosschain swaps on the market. Crosschain transactions on @fomo now land in <1s. A week ago, we rolled out our own internal bridge to a small % of users. Public rollout of fomo bridge begins now.

Bitcoin's proof of work has done around 2^96 hashes over all time. Breaking the ZKP's in Zcash requires a minimum of 2^120 elliptic curve operations assuming ECDLP. If you had a dedicated ASIC, an elliptic curve addition would cost around 10-100x more than SHA2. So today breaking an Elliptic curve would cost around 1 billion Bitcoin-hashrate equivalents. AKA a billion times the hardware buildout of all Bitcoin mining ASICs, dedicated to break this. If a hypothetical billion X improvement came in, you'd need a chip buildout on the level of bitcoin mining before you can break anything. While competing against all the hyperscalars for fab-space. AKA plenty of warning time, for a recovery process that takes a couple day response time max.

was surprised to see so much panic today, likely made worse by other things like rates and oil that distorted the actual substance in the AI/math talks tl;dr — you're all gonna be fine. the leading chains of today have ample means to be able to respond to something like this in the unlikely scenario of it happening longer: i) is AI getting better at math? yes does that imply that it will suddenly shatter foundational cryptography concepts? no "computer smart. therefore the past work of all mathematicians is probably wrong." is not a logical chain with basis sure, AI will find flaws in past human work in many areas -- in the same way humans themselves find flaws from other humans in many areas. this is how science works if we find issues, we discuss them, fix them, and evolve it takes large leaps of complete doomerism to assume that all teams, individuals, and ecosystems will fail at literally everything ranging from planning to prediction to detection to mitigation on all time horizons simultaneously further, in these scenarios, AI is exclusively seen as a tool *only* for max destruction but never as a thing capable of a solution so, it can apparently break everything but not fix anything. i hope you can see the bias here for one, we already know this to be false given recent scaling of formal verification via ai it is of course easier for AI to make progress in fields and topics that are relatively less looked at vs something like foundational cryptography which all intelligence agencies, nation states, and high-level mathematicians are heavily incentivized to break, all the time ii) the most unhinged doomsday scenarios assume an instantaneous attack with no lead time by a random person outside of law and jurisdiction, which I would posit is simply not possible even ignoring the fact that the labs would get there first (and hence the government) it's not as if one can just break all cryptography on all chains via their beefed up cloud hosts over a few hours or days or even months that not only assumes an algorithmic advancement with unfathomable magnitudes of improvement but also completely ignores the gargantuan operational complexity and opportunity cost of doing a global heist (vs the trillion other more important things you can do with an ECC break) it would be vastly impressive if a slight speedup could be found, but the speedups required to fulfill the doomsday fantasies of people on here are not grounded in anything iii) importantly, assume I am completely wrong for all of the above well even in that case, upgrading the systems in a world where ECC breaks is entirely possible and feasible (and has been worked on for decades) in fact, there are many ways of doing it that we know of depending on the existing constraints of the system! imo, the biggest "risk" in all this is that a frontier lab publishes something about a slight speedup in the future, and then everyone extrapolates that to default to panic which then leads to a selloff like today I don't think this is all bad because it never really hurts to think about and plan for these things on the protocol level, but the "retail" panic was certainly a huge self-own by the people pushing this stuff doomerism is not going to win in crypto
People read one emotional Matt Green tweet about public key encryption, spent 0 seconds thinking about it, and decide to panic. Sure ECDLP will be broken with QC's one day. But there's so many levels to this being wrong to panic over. - 0 actual progress on attacking anything - We have tons of alternate plans available. - Quadratic advantage hash-based PKE - Lattices - Multivariate polynomials - A whole field of KEM's from fine grained cryptanalysis. (Fun fact, works even if P=NP) Sure you can wake-up and choose doomer and be wrong. We have decades of cryptography to draw from on for all the above options, AND how to build a lot of what we want from UX tweaks without PKE. PKE just made a lot much easier, and less web of trust routing like.

Upon digestion of the Lighter news, here are my opinions on $LIT: -the regulated track was 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭. Robinhood owns it and they have the relevant licenses. Bitstamp is pretty much dead. -The token traded weak for ~3 weeks into the event -The numbers look good -Lighter is still pursuing the CFTC license. This is the big unlock and was always the mega bull case, easy distribution via Robinhood retails. Their technical architecture is ideal for this. -Upon receipt of license, Robinhood can route Robinhood main app flow to Lighter. It would do this if Lighter offers the best price. This is generally the case. Lighter usually offers a better price than even Hyperliquid for the major assets. Bitstamp is no contest. -no meaningful unstakes post news while perps gunned it down aggressively. Perps shorts need spot holders to capitulate. So far, unstaked LIT had their chance and staked holding strong. 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝. A lot hinges on the license, which we should find out soon. I am bullish on approval odds relative to the market (NFA, this is my opinion) and expect the resulting candle to be a big gap where it will be hard to reposition, even if you're at the screen.

Monday tip… Now that BTC and ETH have broken upward, your positioning and your psychology should match that of someone who came back to the market today, not someone carrying the conditioning of the entire bear market. Don’t bring bear-market you into a bull market.

I want to make something very clear. There is NOTHING that will break my will to grow LONG into a generational platform along with its assets and communities. No event in my personal life, macro or majors nuking. It's evidently clear to me: 1. RH chain is here to stay and we keep pushing it (with many more other cracked teams focused on diff areas) 2. We will keep laser focus on RWA pairs. No short term side quests. "There is no other meta" 3. We are mission driven and you simply can’t kill a movement 4. We are only getting started The space is still trapped in a zero sum mindset, believing that one chain, ecosystem, or asset needs to fall for another to rise. There is a reason why launchers peaked somewhere a in '24 and were not able to scale. With each peak being mostly correlated with mini bull cycles. It's driven by an excessive focus on who controls existing flows + vol vs how to bring net new use cases and users. For LONG the focus is on the latter. LONG eco is still very much in its infancy. I feel everything just like you do. I live and breathe the charts, waking up multiple times each night to check them and monitor sentiment. From time to time it's like having a baby with a fever, it can be very scary. You have to step in, monitor, and act, but under no circumstances should you lose control (obv not giving up thats not even an option) On another note, we’ve absolutely cooked up a much improved app experience, from fixing bugs in wallets and the token list to adding new LONG PVE filters. these will be going live soon. Don’t forget: we don’t just tweet we know how to build and innovate. More next week. LONG.

it’s a tragedy that most podcasts turned into pr infomercials for the guest or their company. the whole thing is obviously transactional now. i.e. host gets access & also paid, guest gets distribution, & the audience gets the ad disguised as organic content.

gLONG some updates: 1. We entered a sprint where we are going to push a bunch of fixes on the webapp over the weekend (faster loads, wallet connection fixes, trading, and generally making the experience on long much smoother) 2. We are also going to push "PVE" feats like ticker locks much further the goal is to make sure an average trader on LONG will never get into a pvp (not just the same ticker but even similar semantics, images etc) this is more like a dynamic proactive approach a cybersecurity team would take your ability to counter threats is mostly a byproduct of how fast you can tweak stuff in an evolving adversarial environment. 3. VERY important I already went on calls with a bunch of teams and am reaching out to more of them. LONG is not a launcher but an incubator our goal is to make sure top pairs and their teams have a clear direction around how to differentiate themselves and build a unique offering (think the YC of RWA pairs where every pair is like a startup that needs to build its own moat) will get to more teams stock by stock. 4. Once we get onto stable ground we will start pushing very aggressively on new feats including more compounding flywheels for AI and other pairs. BUT I do think flywheels (aka meme fi) work the best when dist is getting stronger. This is why I'm spending time getting on pods spreading the msg. There is still an extremely big pocket of sideline capital within crypto that can be onboarded into LONG. Hopefully within the next few weeks we can start breaking out of CT native dist and start onboarding completely net new flows this is the main way I think about "PVE" making the pie bigger and it has been our north star since day 1 (the thesis is that stock pairs are a new form factor that can break out of CT) This will be the 1-1000 moment for LONG.

so today robinhood:0x2e8c31162b855a2ffa90f6f8634643ad6f111e18 is imbalanced with $5.5m more bid depth than ask depth (lp analyzer been buggin with the nvda pool so i manually added that to calc) largest imbalance i've seen to date completely clear above, nobody trying to exit through lp billions next

gLONG Even now. The market is still extremely underpricing the LONG eco. Keeping the underdog mindset is important we don’t get comfy at any point we keep pushing against all resistance. Reminds me of how at the end of last year I pitched stock pairs to plenty of crypto VCs and got 0 follow ups. But we kept moving. Understand this: the Long community owns one of the most powerful ideas in crypto’s history(arguably in finance) we have the conviction to push higher and stronger. We will win. LONG.

15 years ago, if you did the responsible thing & bought $10,000 of 'risk-free' long-term Treasuries, you'd have $11,072 today. If instead you spent $9,995 on drugs & $5 on bitcoin, you'd have $42,778 today.
