A masterclass in political branding, in the sense of what not to do. @Achieving4Delta has pulled off the most confused rollout since the BC Liberals looked in the mirror and decided "BC United" was a winning vibe. 🧵

This was the first Non-NDP provincial leadership race in BC I sat on the sidelines since 2010, but had people in my orbit on various campaigns. From a purely data perspective, a few things stuck out to me. The story of how KLF won is really a story of two other candidates🧵

I have a solution to the Nucks GM Search. Just make Francesco the GM. He clearly wants the job and has kind of been doing it for almost 10 years now. Time for him to step out of the shadows and just take ownership of it. #canucks #AllTogetherAllIn
Dhaliwal said the Canucks job isn't appealing. Mentions some of the available candidates don't want to work for this owner. They've heard the horror stories. @DonnieandDhali

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the day they sell the team, I will again put on a Canucks jersey, buy a box of ladoos and jalebi and celebrate in front of Rogers Arena.
The day @fr_aquilini finally sells the @Canucks should become a provincial holiday in British Columbia.

I'm so glad Pierre supports reconciliation and indigenous title because that is how the Squamish Nation made 6000 homes and the LNG liquification terminal happened. I wonder if he relayed this new found support to the BC Conservative leadership candidates.
The people of the Squamish Nation are leaders and builders. Chief Dale Harry and Chief Ian Campbell talked about how they built 6,000 homes on just 10 acres of land, and are preparing an LNG liquefaction terminal that will deliver generational wealth for their people. Let’s follow their example: cut taxes, slash approval times, and remove red tape to get shovels in the ground on homes, mines, pipelines, ports, terminals, and power plants.

Solid pick up, can’t deny that. One can say Kareem is cooking, no, he’s baking. He’s Hot Bread.
Welcome @DrMoiraStilwell to the @vanliberals. Vancouver needs proven and experienced leaders who think long term and deliver. Glad to have her on our team. #vanpoli

If anyone should be defunded it’s Dallas Brodie who was elected to represent Vancouver Quilchena and be our MLA. 18 months later, still no constit office, hasn’t been present at any community event, and is not available to help constituents with genuine issues they have.
Apparently there is no room for logic and truth at the University of British Columbia. Sounds like they want to be defunded.

I can confirm this. Each time I've gone to @LongMcQuade whether for streaming or work Audio equipment, they've gone above and beyond what is expected as good customer service. Would recommend 10/10. A solid Canadian company.
For any Canadians, or those in Canada who need audio equipment or anything musically related @LongMcQuade has been the best experience I have ever had with any company ever. Since becoming a streamer I have run dozens events, rented thousands in gear, and ever time the experience is perfect. Their performance warranties are insane, I had an issue with my rodecaster and they immediately gave me a loaner, and bent over backwards to give me the equipment I needed so my subathon could continue. Actually the best, wish every company was as good.

I'm grateful for what Shopify did for the SC2 scene, but what @tobi and his techbros are doing to Canada...Fuck Tobi.

Perhaps it is time to depose the balance council and install a new one? The new council should be made up of random players only with no more than 3/8ths being pro players. professional casters, tournament organizers, and bronze league players should me up the rest.

Uninformed opinion by some guy that has been out of the scene for over a year: The hype machine around Stormgate over the last two years torpedo'd both the SC2 scene and SG scene. The hype around SG, some of which is the doing of Frostgiant, some of which by SC2 fans neglected/1

by Blizz dying for new content/attention after years of neglect, created a massively unobtainable expectation for FG which I assumed forced them to put out something that wasn't ready. They also fumbled by spending/focusing too much on marketing. This also puts the SC2 /2

scene in peril because everyone was waiting with baited breath on whether SG would succeed SC2, partially due to the SG hype. Uncertainty makes investment decisions that much harder, do I invest in a game that won't be around in 6 months, or this new game that might work out.

We need another SC2 podcast/talk show. I have far too many sentient food questions building up in my head.

Replying to @eimearnoone
@eimearnoone I loved your performance last night in Vancouver w/the @VSOrchestra. Got chills when the World of Warcraft and Legend of Zelda pieces played. I saw you worked on the Starcraft 2 music, one of my favorites. Chances of adding that to the set next time you are in YVR?
