Inflation can lighten the boat, but it can’t plug the holes. If deficits keep leaking in, you’re still sinking. Worse, inflation can create new holes of its own: trust in the stability of the currency is part of the lubricant that keeps the economy running smoothly, and eroding that trust adds friction across the entire system.
Forget money, think in terms of goods/services/resources/energy.
A debt/credit is barter with time between the flows.
This can happen only if the wannabe creditor has a surplus to offer to the debtor.
The more the demand relative to the offer, the higher the price (yield).
There is a little trick you can run by creating monetary base to induce some additional supply, but it has short legs and it has already been largely played.
