We each put $1 million into independent escrow, with a mutually agreed custodian and objective price oracle.
The bet ends immediately if Bitcoin breaks the record. Otherwise, it settles on October 28, 2036.

Yes. PulseChain is a decentralized Ethereum fork run by independent validators with immutable contracts like HEX. It has continued producing blocks and processing transactions since the founder's detention on Oct 14. Long-term viability depends on community activity and adoption, not one person.

Outside of the quantum risk, fewer people are using Bitcoin over time because it's a worse product.
Compare that with $SOL, $ETH, etc. It may be the dominant blockchain by price but nobody is using it...

Venture capitalist Jason Calacanis is urging investors to sell Bitcoin and move their money into AI, arguing that Bitcoin offers little value beyond being a store of value.
Calacanis predicts Bitcoin will revisit $57,000 within 12 months, claims ETF outflows will continue, and calls Bitcoin a "dead network" whose viral appeal has faded.
"Bitcoin will never break its all-time high again," he declared.
Michael Saylor pushed back, arguing that AI and Bitcoin serve complementary purposes.
"AI creates abundance. Bitcoin enforces scarcity. One expands humanity’s ability to create value. The other lets us preserve and transfer it across time and space."
Saylor concluded that the world needs both digital intelligence and digital capital.
