BOYS HOOPS: Free throw struggles and 3s helped Groves (@GrovesAthletics) battle back, but Seaholm (@MaplesHoops/@SpenserAdams) got a career night out of Drew Heckman and pulled out the rivalry win Tuesday, writes @BryanEversonOP >> tinyurl.com/3w4zcrre

Any player watching the @NBA playoffs and not being inspired to not only get in the gym and work but extremely important, get stronger , more flexible and getting great shape is MISSING IT.
Playing through contact , being on balance and building your cardio toughness is REAL.

I had a chance to listen to this podcast from a West Virginia perspective when DeVries left for #iubb. Here are some quotes that stood out to me from guys that were around the program with DeVries at the helm:
🏀"This is an elite basketball coach. West Virginia had an elite basketball coach."
🏀"What he did this year was off-the-chart good."
🏀"They hit a home run. I don't think he goes there unless he thinks he can win big there."
🏀"Indiana made a great hire. A good fit. A great hire."
🏀"He's as good of a coach as I've ever seen."
🏀"From an Indiana perspective—what a great hire."
🏀"After spending nearly every day with the guy... I can tell you: West Virginia had a great one."
🏀"The disappointment fans feel? That’s because he was that good."
🏀"Indiana finally figured it out. They finally went out and hired a basketball coach."
🏀"I can see his thinking—‘Give me the resources and the stage, and I’ll win.’ And he probably will."

Remember what Woody did for IU. He could’ve retired to be with his family after his NBA career, but took the IU job to chase greatness like his coach. He’s still one of the greatest Hoosiers to lace ‘em up. We fans may agree there needs to be change, but let’s not bash him.

Summer high School basketball is hard!! Practicing when everyone else is doing other stuff. Games with very few fans if any. Early mornings, late nights. No accolades or rewards until the next regular season. It's not for everyone & not even for every program. We're not everyone

THE PERSON YOU WILL BE A YEAR FROM NOW DEPENDS ON:
The Food you eat.
The Books you read.
The Chances you take.
The Habits you stick to.
The Media you consume.
The Experiences you have.
The Thoughts in your head.
The Environment you are in.
The People you spend time with.
The secret to success is found in your daily agenda. The choices you make - make you.

Jalen Brunson said, "The one thing that separates great players from good players is their detail."
"They take pride in watching film, watching what they eat, and making sure they're in the best shape of their life. Just to get that edge."
Little details make big differences!

JJ Redick said, “My off-seasons were harder than the season…My offseasons were 6 days a week, two or three workouts a day.”
Are you willing to put in the work when no one’s watching?
It means discipline and consistency.
