Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak. We will share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified.
The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far.
Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the company’s funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete.
As an immediate precaution, Binance has:
- temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed;
- revoked the affected address authorisation;
- engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds.
Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice.

Three major announcements, Three oil crashes And every single time someone placed massive short positions minutes before the news went public.
1. On March 23, $500 million in oil shorts were placed 15 minutes before Trump announced he would delay attacks on Iran's energy infrastructure. Oil dropped 15%.
2. On April 7, $950 million in oil shorts appeared hours before Trump announced the US-Iran ceasefire. Oil crashed again.
3. On April 17, $760 million in shorts hit the market 20 minutes before Iran's Foreign Minister declared the strait open. 7,990 Brent crude futures contracts sold in a single minute. Oil fell to $81.
The first two times it was before Trump's announcements. This time it was before Iran's announcement.
The combined value of all three trades exceeds $2.2 billion.

Le milliardaire français a investi 10 % dans Exaion pour imposer la présence de "6 Français sur 10 administrateurs".
L'américain Mara a quand même pris la majorité du capitale d'Exaion.
Pour ceux qui se demandaient si Xavier Niel s'intéressait vraiment au dossier, il qualifie Exaion de "société d’importance vitale pour le pays".
Pour rappel, Exaion était la filiale d’EDF dédiée au calcul haute performance, une activité stratégique pour l'IA et le minage de bitcoin.
