That’s our guy! @SquanAthletics @CondonsBaseball
In a completely rebuilt @CoastalBaseball rotation, Cullen Condon brings something especially valuable: a track record of getting the job done.
The Wofford transfer posted a 2.92 ERA in 13 starts last year, pairing a lively 92-93 mph fastball with a 12-6 curveball and slider.
Congratulations Jack Soltis on his commitment to Bard College. The Raptors are getting a good one. @SquanAthletics @LenBardsley

#WestVirginia RHP Chansen Cole didn't throw a single pitch in the upper third of the strike zone.
Instead, a 'pretty boring' kid took a boring approach with a boring 85-88 FB and produced electric results: d1baseball.com/stories/morga…

I signed to UCLA my junior year of high school and was told I was going to start Day 1.
Opening Day at UCLA?
I was sitting the bench. 😭
I had 2 choices:
1. Complain, pout, and blame the coaches
OR
2. Find the holes on the team and become valuable.
So for 3 weeks, I sat the bench.
I showed up early.
Stayed late.
Cheered for my teammates.
Dragged the field every 3rd inning.
Meanwhile, I studied the team.
The middle infielders were doing well.
Third base wasn’t.
So I told the coaches:
“I can play third.”
Then I noticed something else:
Offensively, we were either hitting home runs or getting out.
I saw the gap.
If I could become a tough out, get on base, and bring energy to the team…
I could create value.
Then we played Miami.
The starting third baseman was hitting .115.
They gave me a shot.
I went 2 for 3 with a walk.
Played solid defense.
Brought energy.
I never sat the bench again.
Eventually, I became team captain…
and we were ranked #1 in the country.
One thing baseball taught me:
Opportunities don’t always go to the most talented player.
Sometimes they go to the player who becomes the most valuable.

"I was in L.A. watching [Eddie Murray] take batting practice... the whole 1st round was the ugliest swings I've seen in my life... I walked up to him and said Eddie what were you trying to do in that 1st round? He goes, that was infield back man on 3rd less than 2 outs I got 2 strikes and I'm just trying to put it in play"
Will Clark tells the story of watching Eddie Murray prepare in batting practice and how it changed his thought process.
Good Luck to our freshmen team today as they play in the Freshmen Tournament Championship against our rival Wall.
A special thank you to Tom and Debbie Weston for once again treating our boys to ice cream on their final practice of season.

Winning baseball. Check the box ✅
A guy with 23 home runs and 73 RBI lays down a safety squeeze in the College World Series to score a huge run. That’s winning baseball.
How many tools are in your toolbox? How many different ways can you impact the game and hurt the opponent?
Or are you one-dimensional?
Or worse… selfish?
“I don’t bunt, I hit bombs.”
Championship teams and championship players can do it all. Team-first mentality. Beautiful. Refreshing.
Warriors with the 8-7 win.
