The Department of Mathematics at SRM University-AP successfully organised a 6-day Workshop cum Mini-Symposium on Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) from 23rd to 28th December 2024, with support from the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM). The event provided an opportunity for young research scholars to explore the theoretical and computational aspects of partial differential equations. Renowned experts, including Prof. A. Adimurthi (IIT Kanpur), Dr. Karthik Adimurthi (TIFR-CAM Bangalore), and Prof. Prosenjit Roy (IIT Kanpur), led the workshop sessions, while the mini-symposium featured Prof. Mohit Dalwadi (University of Oxford), Dr. Satyajit Pramanik (IIT Guwahati), and Dr. Moitri Sen (NIT Patna), who discussed cutting-edge applications of PDEs. The programme attracted 23 outstation researchers and 7 PhD scholars from SRM University-AP, fostering a dynamic academic exchange. A special felicitation ceremony honoured Vigyan Shri Prof. Adimurthi for his outstanding contributions to mathematics. The Directorate of Executive Education & Professional Studies (DEEPS) at SRM University-AP successfully conducted a Productivity Enhancement Training for the back-end team of Aster Ramesh Hospitals, Guntur. The training was expertly led by Prof. Satyanarayana Duvvuri, Associate Director, DEEPS, SRM University-AP. Spanning 12 sessions over six weeks, the programme equipped participants with essential skills in effective communication, leadership, time management, negotiation, teamwork, and conflict resolution. With 75% of the training focused on interactive workshops and real-world role-plays, the sessions ensured practical application of concepts. A continuous learning assessment was conducted through pre, mid, and post-training evaluations, reflecting remarkable improvements in individual and group performances. Participants also engaged in project work, presenting their learnings in teams. 🌟 Key Outcomes: ✅ Increased enthusiasm among participants to implement new strategies. ✅ A significant boost in personal and professional effectiveness. ✅ Strong positive feedback, with requests for refresher training in three months.
