Kansas City has unveiled plans for a $2 billion baseball stadium carved into limestone bluffs.
Designed by Populous for the Kansas City Royals, the proposed 34,000-seat ballpark would be built in the Crown Center district, requiring excavation approximately 90 feet (27 meters) deep.
The design features a lightweight canopy shading around 65% of the seats, panoramic downtown views, and the return of the Royals' iconic crown-shaped scoreboard and fountains.
Construction could begin in 2027, with the stadium targeted to open for the 2030 MLB season.

In May 1981, a group of young American Jewish leaders asked Prime Minister Begin what he thought were the lessons of the Holocaust. This was his answer.👇
📍First, if an enemy of our people says he seeks to destroy us, believe him. Don’t doubt him for a moment. Don’t make light of it. Do all in your power to deny him the means of carrying out his satanic intent.
📍Second, when a Jew anywhere is threatened, or under attack, do all in your power to come to his aid. Never pause to wonder what the world will think or say. The world will never pity slaughtered Jews. The world may not necessarily like the fighting Jew, but the world will have to take account of him.
📍Third, a Jew must learn to defend himself. He must forever be prepared for whenever threat looms.
📍Fourth, Jewish dignity and honor must be protected in all circumstances. The seeds of Jewish destruction lie in passively enabling the enemy to humiliate us. Only when the enemy succeeds in turning the spirit of the Jew into dust and ashes in life, can he turn the Jew into dust and ashes in death. During the Holocaust it was after the enemy had humiliated the Jews, trampled them underfoot, divided them, deceived them, afflicted them, drove brother against brother, only then could he lead them, almost without resistance, to the gates of Auschwitz. Therefore, at all times and whatever the cost, safeguard the dignity and honor of the Jewish people.
📍Fifth, stand united in face of the enemy. We Jews love life, for life is holy. But there are things in life more precious than life itself. There are times when one must risk life for the sake of rescuing the lives of others. And when the few risk their own lives for the sake of the many, then they, too, stand the chance of saving themselves.
📍Sixth, there is a pattern to Jewish history. In our long annals as a nation, we rise, we fall, we return, we are exiled, we are enslaved, we rebel, we liberate ourselves, we are oppressed once more, we rebuild, and again we suffer destruction, climaxing in our own lifetime in the calamity of calamities, the Holocaust, followed by the rebirth of the Jewish State.
So, yes, we have come full circle, and with God’s help, with the rebirth of sovereign Israel we have finally broken the historic cycle: no more destruction and no more defeats, and no more oppression – only Jewish liberty, with dignity and honor. These, I believe, are the underlying lessons to be learned from the unspeakable tragedy of the Holocaust.
I would like to add a few words of my own: I believe that every Jew should print these words of Menachem Begin, frame them, and hang them in the most visible place in their home. And read them every single day — like a prayer. Not merely with their eyes, but with their hearts and souls. To remember who we are, what our people have endured, and the price we have paid for the right to live in freedom, with dignity and honor. These words are not merely lessons from history. They are a sacred legacy passed down through generations, written in the blood and tears of our people. They remind us never to forget our past, never to turn a blind eye to threats, never to abandon our own in times of danger, and never to allow anyone to strip us of our dignity.
Remember. Stand united. Protect one another. And never again allow ourselves to be defenseless.May these words be more than something hanging on our walls. May they be engraved in our hearts, guide our actions, and become a solemn promise we pass on to our children and grandchildren.
Every single day. From generation to generation. Never forget. Never surrender. Never again.

Saddam told Arabic magazine Usbu al-Arabi in September 1975 he wanted to build a nuclear bomb. His number one target: Israel.
Two months later, on November 18, 1975, Baghdad signed a deal with the French to build a nuclear reactor at Osirak. One provision in that contract: no one of the “Jewish race or Mosaic religion” would be permitted to work on the reactors in France or in Iraq. Not Israelis. Not French Jews. Not dual nationals. Paris accepted it.
The first fuel France agreed to supply Saddam was weapons-grade. They were on the path to plutonium. Osirak was never a civilian plant that “might later be diverted.” It was a weapons program with a commercial paper that banned Jews from the job site.
But Saddam did not get the bomb. On June 7, 1981, Israel destroyed the reactor before it went critical. The UN condemned the raid. Almost nobody quoted the 1975 interview. Almost nobody read the clause.
The interview was in Arabic.
The contract was in French.
The raid was in Hebrew.

An Israeli minister just confirmed the best-kept secret of this war, and then said one thing that changes everything. During the fighting, Israeli soldiers stood on Arab soil, crewing an Iron Dome battery, shooting down Iranian missiles aimed at an Arab monarchy. Asked directly if Israel sent the UAE its shield, Minister Miri Regev answered, "That's right." Then she added five words. "The Emirates are helping us."
Weigh what that buries. For almost 75 years the Middle East ran on one fault line, Arab against Israeli. The Iron Dome was built to stop rockets fired at Israel by Arab militias.
Iron Dome's first actual operational deployment outside Israel or America, ever, was in defense of an Arab capital.
And Israel's own minister just described it not as a rescue, but as a solid "partnership". The Emirates are helping us. Present tense. Both directions. Listen carefully!!
The scale explains the need. Iran fired some 550 ballistic and cruise missiles and more than 2,200 drones at the UAE, by its own defense ministry's count the most targeted country in the region, more than Israel itself.
Abu Dhabi of course needed a "shield". The only proven solid one that worked battle-tested flew in from Jerusalem, crewed by Israeli soldiers on Emirati ground while the missiles fell.
And Israel chose when to say it. The UAE has never confirmed a word of this. It flies with the Blue Angels in public and stays silent on the Israeli battery in its desert.
Israel held the secret while it was tactical and revealed it during Khamenei's funeral week, the moment it became a message.
Which answers the question over Tehran. Why did no Gulf king stand at Khamenei's coffin? Because when his missiles came for the Gulf, the hands that stopped them were Israeli.
The 75-year war ended quietly, on a radar screen over Abu Dhabi.
