I am icredibly proud to be a member of the National Oversight Mechanism Advisory Group. This month, momentum continued to build behind our campaign for a National Oversight Mechanism. At Labour Party Conference, @INQUEST_ORG Director @DebatINQUEST spoke at a number of events about the need for stronger accountability so that recommendations from inquests and inquiries can no longer be ignored. To keep up the pressure, we're aiming to deliver 100 handwritten letters to the Prime Minister on Human Rights Day this December. Will you write a letter to Andy Burnham? An email can be easy to ignore. 100 hand-written letters cannot. The Public Office Accountability Bill needs to be water tight, with absolutely no loop holes or exclusions. Add your name to our letter urging our Prime Minister to establish a National Oversight Mechanism to ensure lessons are learned and lives are saved following state-related deaths and disasters.
