Not a single faithful Catholic believes Mary is god. Anyone who says something like this is either ignorant or dishonest.
Catholics think Mary is god
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Catholics do not believe Mary is God. Official teaching holds that special devotion to her differs essentially from the adoration due to God alone.

The Nicene Creed is the Gospel.
Anyone who rejects the Nicene Creed rejects the Gospel of Christ Jesus.

St. Paul was killing Christians.
Full stop.
He would never have had the opportunity to convert to Christianity if he had gotten the death penalty that so many of you good Christians believe he deserved.

Protestantism is one of the few places where you will find people convinced that the entire early Church has nothing to teach them, but they have everything to teach the early Church.
Protestantism is an ideology that ultimately leads to this level of narcissism.

The joke underlying “If you believe this I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you” is that only the gullible would think the Brooklyn Bridge is FOR SALE—not whether the Brooklyn Bridge EXISTS. These are the people insisting they’re educated enough to tell you what the Bible says.

We don’t worship Mary. Latria is the worship due to God alone.
Dulia is the honour you give a holy person, the same way Scripture honours Abraham, the prophets, and the saints. Mary gets hyperdulia, a higher honour because she’s His mother, not a different kind of worship. Asking her to pray for you is dulia. Bowing to her as God would be latria. Catholics don’t do that.
The Rosary is meditating on the life of Christ, The Hail Mary is taken directly from scripture. Read Luke 1.
John 14:6 is true. He’s the only way. Asking His mother to pray doesn’t replace Him any more than asking your pastor does. At Cana she just points to Him: do whatever He tells you.
“Where’s that in the Bible?” Same place it tells you to celebrate Christmas by name, or spells out the Trinity in one verse. It doesn’t
Any further questions or you done?
Christians follow the apostles and Church bishops, not later Jewish rabbis. Bishops at Rome (382), Hippo (393) and Carthage (397) affirmed an OT of 46 books including Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch and 1-2 Maccabees from the Septuagint tradition the early Church used. Jerome deferred to bishops in translating several.

Ryan’s go-to move has always been to keep the argument strictly on Scripture, where his own interpretation becomes the controlling authority. But asserting an interpretation DOES NOT establish it.
If his reading were the obvious Christian understanding of Scripture, we should expect to find it in the historic Church. St. Ephrem (Nisibene Hymns 27:8), St. Augustine (De natura et gratia 36.42), and even Luther all agreed.
So even if we grant Ryan his "inference" (which is massively incorrect but for the sake of argument) we are still left with this fact: for more than 1,800 years, no major Christian thinker interpreted the text the way he does.

The outrage over the Pope saying there needs to be more accessible, clean water is evidence of how most “Christians” will end up in hellfire.
Stay away from these people before they drag you down with them.

This is actually hilarious. Baptist sees the Eucharist in a Catholic Church.
“This is just bread! Idolatry!!”
Lutheran says no it’s not just bread.
“O wow cool what an interesting belief. At least we are united on essentials.”
Their religion is just to hate the Church, that’s it. There is no more to it than that. We need a sign to tap.

Ahh a Lutheran bro! I would like to hear your explanation of why you believe in the real presence, if you wouldnt mind explaining how your belief is different than the catholics.

Eat his flesh means eat the word of God. Jesus is the word of God. Drink his blood means drink in the new covenant. It’s spiritual not earthly.

Israel’s pressure on the Christian presence in Jerusalem continues. Christian schools in the city are going on strike because Israel refuses to issue permits to their West Bank teachers.

You will only find this kind of idolatry in Protestantism.
Christ is not a book. Christ is a Person.
The Bible reveals Christ. It is not Christ Himself.

Let us continue to pray for peace. Saint Augustine, whose feast we celebrated a few days ago, said that peace “is like the miraculous bread multiplied in the hands of the disciples as they broke it and distributed it” (Sermo 357, 2). May there be an increase in the world of those who courageously break and share the bread of peace, overcoming divisions, promoting justice and practicing forgiveness for the good of all.

Palestinian Christians are being prevented from reaching Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God.
Once again, Palestinian Christians are being deprived of their basic right to worship and practice their faith freely.

The liturgy is not merely an outward observance, but a living encounter with God. Let us participate in the liturgy consciously, devoutly, and actively, so that we may grow in faith. #GeneralAudience
