So cheap Mali GPUs run Zelda BoTW now after several patches.
RK3588 still awesome in 2026!

After 5 years of broken operation I finally fixed up @GmanModz’s awesome N64 SP. Still goes hard in 2026!

Episode 5 of my Space Cadet series is out now! This episode covers switches, drop targets and the hyperspace kickout, along with wiring and the first of my pinball controller PCB's! Thanks @luzooki @PCBWayOfficial for the support!

Here is Claude with the integrated Fusion 360 MCP plugin and... I am blown away with how good it is already.
It was able to generate an internal aluminum heatsink backbone, mount all of the components, suggest optimal PCB shapes and maximize internal volume. Crazy stuff.
Just finished my shell swap for the portable PS2 handheld! Credits to Tschiki for the build and @CNCDan for printing this amazing shell on his Form 4!
Pinching myself how good it turned out! 😁

I wanted to share some pictures of something I've been working on for fun: A Nintendo Switch Lite SP! This mod will give the Switch Lite a folding form factor to make it closer to a 3DS!

When I created Raspbian for the Raspberry Pi, I was excited to help bring low-cost compute into the hands of a next generation of tinkerers and programmers.
However, I now despair that a Raspberry Pi can cost upwards of $300 because AI shortages are making personal computing unaffordable. Furthermore, bright young people are being discouraged from learning programming because they are being told it is now a commodity skill that AI will do.
I have to ask myself what it was all for. Is this the future we were promised? If so, I'm starting to regret my part in it.
So, I’m currently trying to make my own stylus as part of Retro Flip. So far, a little metal nub and PLA shaft. Of course, stylus won’t work as is.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make it work? Metallic paint? Foil?
I’ve heard some filaments are conductive too.
Just became a father, so priorities have been elsewhere. But still chipping away at this Qualcomm handheld day by day. :)

The Steam Deck LCD panel is available cheap (ca $30), but until now there hasn't been a way to use it with a Raspberry Pi. Luckily, the folks at Scandent open sourced a HAT design and kernel driver for it!
See it in action in today's L2J video: youtube.com/watch?v=1pdZ7oeP…
Trying out Vanilla, a Wii U gamepad emulator that connects directly to your Wii U on my DIY handheld! Latency is non existent with rkmpp and ffmpeg.
Get it here

What a privilege to be able to own one of the coolest hardware pieces ever made - a real PS2 portable made from a SCPH-90004 slim PS2!

Probably a shot in the dark, but has anyone got a HDMI decoder (TFP401) working on non-Pi related boards on Linux? Struggling to get a decent quality image out of my RGB888 display at the moment (specifically with QCS6490).

I was lucky enough to test the @Radxa Dragon Q8B with the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 chip! I’ve put together a few thoughts, photos, and a whole lotta graphs to see how it compares..
(it blows everything out of the water)
