You don’t seem to realize that your almonds and avocados involve the slaughter of billions of bees. Piers Morgan: You believe in the climate crisis? Orla Coghlan: Yes. Piers Morgan: Animal agriculture, farming and fishing are leading causes of the climate crisis. But you know what’s also damaging? Planes carrying your avocados and almonds from California thousands of miles to your vegan cafes. You’re killing billions of bees and destroying the planet, yet you sit here preaching about saving animals and the environment! Orla Coghlan: I hear that you’re very frustrated. I would really like to respond. Piers Morgan: Go on, then. Orla Coghlan: A leading study from Oxford, the most comprehensive study on food and climate ever done, says animal products farming animals and fishing are the leading cause.
