I hope Nia DaCosta never does a film for Marvel/Disney again. The way they are just letting the trades treat her like she's the most unprofessional Director is crazy. If she does return to direct a CBM, I hope it's under DC. I pray she never faces scrutiny like this again.

Iman Vellani about the toxic voices always trying to spoil others’ fun:
"I had a lot of experience in high school alone when I would share my excitement with someone, and then they'd immediately shut me down for being so excited," the 21-year-old recalls. "I would hate to see that within the fan community as well, because it does feel awful. If people are excited about something, let them be excited about it. And if you have constructive criticism, voice it — but never be the wet blanket on someone else's excitement."

One plus about the current state of our culture and its pull to the extremes is that most of us will never go far enough to please an unhinged public. The truth is, we become slaves to those from whom we seek approval.
What a relief to just make it our aim to please God. Everything and everyone else we bow down to, no matter how benevolent the beginning, no matter what forecasts of good, will turn tyrannical. God alone can bear the burden of being God. God alone is Light and in him alone is no darkness.
I have zero shame proclaiming the gospel of Christ in this day. In my opinion which, granted, is worth its weight in chicken feathers, the gospel is not only truth. It’s the sanest thing out there.
Jesus saves
us from ourselves
from our enemy
and from our brethren and sistren.

One of the most infuriating double standards is the idea that women are responsible for cooking in the private sphere (for their families and others) but men dominate the world of professional cooking for other people where they get paid

I actually find it kind of insulting that you all think Taylor at her level would simply allow herself and her love life to be used as a prop for a corporation
