so i was using claude code to integrate google reCAPTCHA v3 into a form... you know.. to detect bots claude finishes the integration and proudly reports: "i submitted the form and everything works fine" hold on WHO submitted the form? 😭 the bot that implemented my bot detection system is now assuring me that it successfully got through my bot detection system... i don't even know which one of us is being tested anymore lol

if any new author is interested, this is my workflow for writing a book: I use claude artifacts as the storyboard for my books... the core workspace consolidating all my assets.. outlining chapters with the scenes.. the comic panels.. notes and the facts it references once a chapter is outlined... the writing goes into markdown, a build script (with custom formatting guidelines) turns it into the pdf and epub, and it ships drops as and when needed. have been trying to make this a fun experience to keep myself committed and motivated... 😅 i think I might eventually open-source the publishing f/w.. but that's a "someday" task for now.
drop 1 is out... preface + chapters 1 and 2. Available FREE on leanpub: leanpub.com/thesomedayfolder already updated it once today after two early reviews... that's the deal with writing in public part 2 lands next thursday... would really appreciate if you could tell me where you stopped reading and what could be better! :)

as an engineer, i thought writing a book would be the hard part.. took months... then came "marketing" and honestly, a period of feeling completely helpless.. a few days ago, i got my first leanpub email saying "you had a sale"... a complete stranger actually paid to read something i wrote i still don't know how to describe that feeling... and i don't think i'll forget that email anytime soon. :)
Writing a book is hard. Marketing it yourself is harder. If you're doing both, you're not behind, you're doing two jobs. Give yourself some credit today.
