𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐈𝐂 𝐈𝐒 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 🎉 8 months ago, India's regional satellite navigation constellation 'NavIC' fell below the minimum number of active satellites (4) needed to keep the system operational. Last Friday, ISRO had launched the NVS-03 satellite on GSLV-F18, aiming to bring the constellation back to service. 4 days later, NVS-03 has now finally reached its target GSO orbit, bringing NavIC back to the minimum required number of satellites! Congrats to teams at ISRO and everyone in India 🇮🇳

BOOM! Affle's big bet is here. Looks like a juicy turnaround deal which will 2x their revenue for less than 2,000 cr net. Affle has a very good track record of M&A and financial discipline so this looks like a great opportunity
Affle - steady compounding with margin expansion in Q2. Next step change in growth imminent with 2,000 cr+ cash on books towards a large acquisition in next 1-2 quarters.

Word for this is scare marketing Remember a FAANG CTO saying 99% job will be gone in 1 year None of it will happen at the scale they are writing but before that half of AI firms will be bankrupt Once debt financing and new private rounds stopped and AI hardware cost continued to rise ( due to hard backlog), they have directly/indirectly unleashed various cyber attacks Pitch started as “world’s saviour” and ended up being “rogue hackers” Incremental gains for a new model doesn’t justify “any price for 99% corporates leave aside consumers” hence SLM and open sourced architecture might be end result….frontier labs will become increasingly desperate in their offence defence On hardware side… once new capacities come and since marginal cost of producing extra memory is like any other commodity , 80-90% gross margins will disappear as well
This is f*cking insane. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, the man who left OpenAI to build Claude: "80% of all entry-level lawyers, consultants and finance professionals will be completely wiped out within the next 1-5 years The ones who survive won't be the smartest people in the room. They'll be the ones who know how to put AI agents to work" In this 47-minute talk, Dario explains exactly who survives and how Chatbots → Agents → AI Employees → Entire Departments Run By AI Surviving AI doesn't mean asking a chatbot to rewrite your emails It means being the person who can plug agents into a company's work and make them run 95% of people will watch AI take their industry, the 5% who build with it will be the ones companies fight over Worth more than any $3,500 AI career course Bookmark and watch it today Then read how to plug one agent into Claude Code, Cursor and Codex in the article below ↓

3 Chinese companies called CIMC, Dongfang, and CXIC make 96% of all dry shipping containers and 100% of refrigerated containers in world US government charged them with fixing prices. India buys about 2 million containers from outside every year and makes only 70,000 at home. No other product used in global trade is this dependent on 1 country. 80% of world trade by volume moves inside these steel boxes. 10,000 crore scheme now targets building this capacity in India. Making containers sounds simple but trade stops without them COVID showed what happens when containers run out. Factories and ports shut in 2020, containers got stuck in wrong places around world. India could not bring in fertilisers and pulses because containers were not available. Shipping cost per container jumped to over $10,000. India had no factories to make its own containers quickly. Rs 10,000 crore scheme approved in October 2026 comes from that lesson. Plan is to go from 70,000 to 700,000 containers per year. This is about protecting supply chains from being held hostage again India is building more than container factories. Government signed agreement in February 2026 for Bharat Container Shipping Line that will connect ports, railways, roads, and container manufacturing into 1 system. India has port expansion through Sagarmala, freight rail corridors, and growing steel capacity. What was missing was containers and shipping line. No country outside China has tried combining all of these. Output going from 70,000 to 700,000 containers will not cover full need but removes complete dependence on 3 Chinese firms for boxes that carry most of India’s trade.

As a neurosurgeon, let me tell you how frightening this injury actually is - an occipital compound depressed skull fracture treated with a WIDE craniotomy (outer staple line). What's scary isn't the fracture; it's what's adjacent to the damaged skull. The axe blows (that tree-branch scar at the center) hit right over the posterior superior sagittal sinus, a large vein that runs lengthwise between the 2 cerebral hemispheres and carries blood from the brain to the heart. Penetrating injuries to the sinus can carry upwards of a 40% morbidity/mortality - partially because a transection of the sinus can be difficult to repair and can result in extreme blood loss, venous air embolism, or thrombosis - all of which can be fatal. There's scary, and then there's the "you go to elevate the fracture and risk unroofing the sinus, losing 2 liters of blood in a minute" scary. The surgeons likely had their hands full and did an amazing job. Divine providence called many heroes into service that day. Damn fine work. धन्यवाद

INDIA IS BUILDING QUANTUM SENSORS SO ITS WARSHIPS NEVER NEED GPS AGAIN India’s Navy vice chief just confirmed the Navy is building quantum positioning, so its warships can operate in a “GPS-denied environment” with no satellites at all. Quantum positioning removes that dependency. Atoms cooled to near absolute zero are extremely sensitive to motion. Measure how they shift as a ship moves, and you know where it is. No signal to jam, spoof or switch off. India’s Ministry of Defence has already given a startup, QuBeats, about $3 million to build one. Interesting times! $INFQ $IONQ $QNT $QBTS
Dear Prime Minister Ambani, Please accept my humble apologies for not realizing that you are the real boss of India. Naturally, you would prefer to maintain your monopolistic exploitation of the great people of India, but would you nonetheless consider allowing Starlink to compete? There are many areas of India, as there are in all countries, with no Internet access, which denies children the opportunity for education and for small businesses the opportunity to sell their goods to a global market. Starlink would change their lives for the better. Thank you 🙏

Sahajanand Medical Technologies (SMT): From a Vision in Surat to a Potential Billion-Dollar Global MedTech Company. Thanks to @arvind_kothari @niveshaay , had the chance to meet the management and interact with them before ipo at The Dhando Valley. Lets start with the story! In the late 1990s, when India was largely dependent on expensive imported cardiac stents, an entrepreneur from Surat saw an opportunity to change that. Dhirajlal Kotadia, an engineer and entrepreneur who had already built a successful precision-engineering and laser-technology business serving the diamond industry, believed India could manufacture world-class cardiovascular devices at affordable prices. The vision was ambitious: develop life-saving medical technology in India, reduce dependence on imported devices and make advanced cardiac treatment accessible to more patients. That vision led to the creation of Sahajanand Medical Technologies, whose origins go back to 1999 and which was incorporated in 2001. What started with coronary stents has evolved into something much bigger. Over the next 25 years, SMT invested heavily in research, clinical trials, product development and international expansion. Today, the company has: Presence across 77 countries Approximately 25% share of India’s drug-eluting stent market by volume 119 granted patents and 78 pending patent applications 75 clinical studies, including 66 completed Manufacturing capabilities across India and Thailand Products spanning coronary stents, balloons, occluders and transcatheter heart valves The company has also transitioned to its next generation of leadership, with Bhargav Kotadia taking over as CEO in April 2025. But what interests me most is the economics of this 25-year journey. My reconstruction of SMT’s historical filings suggests that the company has spent approximately(min) ₹950 crore cumulatively on R&D and clinical development, with ₹631 crore identifiable across disclosed financial periods. In today’s purchasing-power terms, that historical R&D investment could be worth approximately ₹1,300 crore. Add acquisitions, international distribution, manufacturing infrastructure and the time required to establish clinical credibility, and the barriers to recreating this business become significant. Despite all this investment, SMT currently operates at only around 14% consolidated EBITDA margins. Europe, now its largest market, has only recently reached operating breakeven, while India and the Rest of the World already operate above 20% EBITDA margins. This raises an interesting question. What happens when a company that has spent 25 years developing technology, products and global distribution finally starts monetising those investments at scale? At ₹2,000 crore revenue and 20–25% EBITDA margins, SMT could potentially generate ₹400–500 crore EBITDA, compared with ₹171 crore in FY26. And the company is no longer dependent only on coronary stents. Structural Heart, TAVI, occluders, drug-coated balloons and next-generation devices could provide the next leg of growth. I spent time studying SMT’s RHP, its older DRHPs, acquisition history, R&D spending, product pipeline and global cardiovascular markets. Here is my detailed thesis on why Sahajanand Medical Technologies could become one of India’s most interesting global MedTech businesses. A deep dive into SMT’s business, R&D moat, acquisitions, products, margins and what could change over the next 3–5 years. 1. First, understand the business. SMT is much more than an Indian coronary stent manufacturer. It operates across two major categories: * Vascular Intervention: Coronary stents, balloons and related devices. * Structural Heart: TAVI valves, occluders and other devices. FY26 revenue: ₹1,211 Cr EBITDA: ₹171 Cr EBITDA margin: 14.1% PAT: ₹69 Cr The business is already global, but profitability could be at an inflection point.
