It’s here! Volume 2 of Flycatchers - Myiarchus and Kingbirds. Arrives on May 7! This volume benefited from your feedback on Vol 1. Over the next few weeks Andy Birch @LALABirding and I will share little snippets of the book. This group of flycatchers may be even harder than empids but we try to make it accessible to all. @PrincetonNature

In Nome, Alaska and just recaptured this Bluethroat and took off it’s geolocator we attached last summer. Hopefully we will soon know this bird’s migration routes and wintering locations.

This is not my #NorthNorfolk I am angry & ashamed. #BactonSandscaping Two pair of #sandmartin made repeated attempts to access just one nest site. There are dozens of other nest sites further along a 1 km of netted cliff face. @EDP24 @BBCLookEast @itvanglia @Natures_Voice

Um, at this time of year, a large proportion of the birds in Britain aren’t “our beautiful *British* wildlife”. They are visiting us from the continent. You know ... moving ... freely.
