Strikes us that at a challenging time for transport and climate - we need to preserve local prime arable, food producing land. #northberwick #buildonbrownfield #nothanksbupa

Just a thought folks. If the ‘retirement village’ doesn’t perform - does it close? And the trashing of our land for nothing? #northberwick #tantallon

Absolutely. This @BBCScotlandNews @BBCRadio4 claim that climate deniers give balance is perverse and immoral. It serves to undermine science and facts, occupies airtime trying to justify a factual situation instead of holding politicians to account and finding solutions.
Really proud of the whole Scottish climate movement today 4 refusing to go on @BBCScotlandNews because they platformed a climate denier & forcing them to cancel the segment
Including: @FoEScot @sccscot @2050ClimateGrp @ScotlandXr @ClimateActionSc @scotgp & the climate strikers

I was in @coopukfood - still cheaper to buy four cans of tuna wrapped in plastic than just four cans of tuna. You are incentivising me to waste plastic. When is this going to change? No food waste issue here. #plasticpollution #PlasticFreeTuesday #zerowaste
Wanted to buy 4 cans of Tuna @coopukfood but found that I have to pay 65p extra so as not to have a layer of plastic around the cans. You are incentivising me to pollute. A multi-buy deal is surely possible without the extra plastic?

We would love it if @leecraigie_ , Scotland's new #ActiveNation Commissioner, visited #EastLothian to hear about our 14-year campaign for a safe four-mile walking/cycling link connecting Drem & Gullane.

Half way up #northberwick Law this morning. Lovely view - although the construction site not so pretty. Dread to think what a gated village would do to highlighted spot.

Don't know what to do with those old face scrubs and shower gels that you've realised have microbeads in? Donate them to science! They can help scientists figure out how to get rid of microplastics. Please search your bathroom cupboards and get in touch with @frankensoils
Does anyone have now-banned cosmetic products with plastic microbeads? We use these microbeads in research experiments and would appreciate any donations. Science is a better destination than landfill! @FidraTweets @greatnurdler @cathgem2000 @mcsuk @GoodScrub can you help?

Replying to @GeorgeMonbiot
We are investigating astroturf & plastic pollution, mainly looking at artificial sports pitches that use loose rubber granules to improve play quality. The rubber is a clear source of microplastic, but the grass pieces are also lost... DM if you'd like to chat more about this.

These cotton buds were collected in just one hour on one small stretch of beach. This is why we need legislation banning the sale and manufacture of plastic stemmed cotton buds #ShoreYouCare @mcsuk @cathgem2000 @AlasdairNeilson #GOplasticfree
