The owner of the car, a woman who is coming out of a club on Sunset Boulevard, lets him have it verbally. She’s thinking that he is trying to, well you have to read part one and part two to find out. You’ll also find out why this short story is called middle C. It has nothing to do with music or piano playing, but there is a metaphor. .
