I love going to the movies. I won some awards for producing theater. Theme Park fan. Obsessed with the Mets/Knicks/Rangers. The “Em” in @emberprodux. They/Them

hate it when my side hustle (employment) gets in the way of my main hustle (watching movies)

I simply adored Georgia Oakley’s Sense and Sensibility. A gorgeous and naturalistic adaptation, filled with charm, yearning, sisterly love, and very silly men. Edgar-Jones and Creed-Miles are sublime, as is the score. I was completely swept away and will treasure this for ages.

There are definitely elements of Wicker I liked. The production design and cinematography, Olivia’s wonderful performance, it can be funny and romantic. But much of it felt unfocused and obvious, with the townsfolk and their thinly written nonsense constantly dragging it down. 🤷‍♀️

Someone is called a “far left extremist” and they just want inclusion and respect for everyone, affordable housing and healthcare, and prices in general to go down. Make it make sense.

Elon Musk is afraid of Talarico because he [Musk] has a lot of business in Texas. It has nothing to do with principles or programs; for Musk, it's all about the Benjamins.
Talarico is a far left extremist

This is actually a very childish and immature mindset. It’s okay to like both Tarkovsky and Star Wars. It’s okay to go see Fjord and Clayface. It has nothing to do with growing up.
No disrespect to anyone, but I don’t really get how people don’t just grow out of this stuff. When I was 8-15 my life REVOLVED around Marvel, Star Wars & Harry Potter. But I grew up. At some point, you just grow out of this stuff

Wildwood was awful. I’ve never come closer to walking out of a theater.

Barring rare exceptions, general audiences want familiar characters and stories. At least the movie got made.
‘WILDWOOD’ opened with $11M domestically. The second lowest opening for a LAIKA film.

Incredibly funny (and sad) to watch the same people who defended that vile Vivek ad now rushing to the defense of the Cheesecake Factory over an innocuous joke by Obama

These are the same people who say the left can’t take a joke.
Classic Obama snobbery. Cheesecake Factory is a great option for people who can’t afford a private chef at their Martha’s Vineyard estate.

Social media is NOT real life. It’s not indicative of real life. It is curated. It is a performance. Anyone who doesn’t get that.. yikes.

This planet is drowning in evil, cruel pieces of trash who are 100% convinced that they are the good guys. It’s dangerous out there.

The Leftovers. Always my answer.
Besides THE WIRE, THE SOPRANOS and GAME OF THRONES, what’s one HBO series everyone needs to watch at least once? Looking for those underrated gems and all-time greats that deserve to be in the conversation.
