WAINWRIGHT: Local (@CrashMetaX) who was in the hospital as tragic military base incident unfolded, shares his perspective on what happened.
What’s actually going on in Ukraine is that there is a massive incentive difference between the elites and the people.
The former have grown very rich off the hundreds of billions flowing to Ukraine, while the latter’s children are conscripted to die in trenches.

Here is a timeline of events from the MCI at CFB Wainwright.
It was a normal Saturday just like any other.
Shortly before four o'clock there was a "CODE ORANGE" that had echoed throughout the halls of the hospital.
I went out front to see what all the commotion was and there was a military vehicle with no doors or windows sitting in the parking lot.
I knew at this time that things were about to pick up and it was about to get catastrophic around here.
After that, there was a white military SUV that dropped off two casualties.
Next was the military truck (HLV) carrying in at least five severely wounded to the point where they needed to be put on stretchers because they could not walk themselves.
Now the four military ambulances came rolling in with medical personnel ready to go.
They were taking everything from stretchers and gurneys and manual wheelchairs to the front emergency entrance to help who was coming next.
After the military ambulances was the military pickup with the wounded soldier that ran by me in his underwear.
Yes, he "ran" by me in his blue underwear.
His pants were shredded to tatters.
His legs were severely burned to the point that they were yellow.
I could see the burnt skin on his wrist as he ran by me.
These were just some of the things I was witness to for the next twelve hours.
Hug your loved ones and be safe out there for we know tomorrow is not promised.
I will be here at the hospital to help the wounded anyway i can when they come here.
For I know about denial and depression and even worse thoughts.
Failure is not an option.
There is a reason and a mission and a purpose for each of us being here.
Take care of one another ❤️

A Global News journalist asked Environment Canada for already-public historical wind-warning bulletins and timestamped data from the day of the CFB Wainwright fire. After two full working days she received a form letter that misspelled “Canada,” used incorrect grammar, offered condolences, and declined to comment because of an ongoing investigation—without addressing her request at all.
The fire on 17 October 2026 killed four soldiers and injured 39 others when high winds (recorded at up to 82 km/h) rapidly spread a grass fire during a live-fire training exercise. Stewart later published her reporting using other sources after Environment Canada’s reply proved unusable.
The exchange illustrates routine friction journalists face obtaining basic public records from Canadian agencies, even when the material is not sensitive or new, and even when the agency’s own website already lists the figures in question.
This is what we’re up against trying to report on the CFB Wainwright tragedy.
On October 18, I asked Environment Canada for the original wind-warning bulletins for the region, to make sure I hadn’t missed any and because several had since been archived online.
I also asked for the timestamped XML files — or directions on how to access them myself.
I wasn’t asking about the fire. I wasn’t asking for anything new. I was trying to retrieve historical weather warnings and records, most of which were already publicly available.
This was their response.
It took them two full working days to send this.

The Edmonton Police Service was proud to escort soldiers from the Princess Patricia’s Light Infantry as they returned to Edmonton from CFB Wainwright.
Many EPS members have served in the Canadian Armed Forces and still have close ties to the military. We share a common bond of duty, and because of that, the recent tragedy that occurred at CFB Wainwright is felt deeply by every single one of our officers.
Our hearts go out to the families of the four brave individuals who lost their lives and to the injured personnel recovering in hospital.
Referendum vote counting is nearing an end, currently at:

It’s clear we are in a trade war our Government has zero interest in ending.
They will happily give out billions of dollars to industries and businesses to keep them afloat and call it “supports”
Supports are supposed to be temporary, our Government has turned it into a business model.

CBC's programming schedule is back to the regularly scheduled climate propaganda programming
After the Alberta referendum, CBC sandwiched a segment on climate catastrophe theater between record food bank use and the usual US Republican scare story
The food bank piece is grounded. Food Banks Canada’s HungerCount 2026 reports 2.35 million monthly visits—up 8.7% year-over-year and 117% since 2019. Nearly one in five clients is employed; a third are children. Food prices are up ~30% since 2021, housing ~28%. Canadians are making “impossible trade-offs.” No mention of Carney's promises to fix it!
Then the pivot to CBC climatte activism: a new UNEP Emissions Gap Report declaring that staying under 1.5°C with no or limited overshoot is now “imminent and unavoidable.” Current policies point to ~2.8°C; full pledges ~2.6°C. Their “Plan B” is an overshoot to 1.7–1.8°C mid-century, then a return to 1.5°C by 2100 via 18% global emissions cuts by 2030, 45% by 2035, and 69% by 2040 (from 2025 levels), plus roughly 320 Gt of CO₂ removal whose scale and reliability remain speculative
This is the same pattern as previous years: the target recedes, the rhetoric intensifies, and the prescribed solution is still rapid, deep cuts that have never been politically or technologically delivered at the required pace. Emissions are roughly flat
The bulk of growth has long come from China, India, and other developing economies, not from Canadian households already facing the highest food-bank usage in modern records
The juxtaposition is the tell. Immediate, measurable hardship—driven by inflation, housing costs, and energy prices that climate policy itself has helped raise—is treated as the warm-up act. The main event remains an abstract global temperature trajectory whose near-term policy implications (higher energy costs, constrained supply, industrial flight) make the food-bank problem harder, not easier. CBC then cuts to Republican election material, completing the cycle of fear over domestic priorities
Taxpayer-funded CBC repeatedly frames Canadian energy and industrial policy through the lens of distant UN scenarios while downplaying the domestic costs already visible in the data. That is not reporting; it is distraction sequencing for the benefit of their Liberal government funders! @brodiefelon @BjornLomborg
