Almighty and everlasting God, you govern all things both in heaven and on earth: Mercifully hear the supplications of your people, and in our time grant us your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Every time we read Scripture, we interpret its words. But what happens when Scripture also interprets us? Trinity’s Associate Professor of Church History, Dr. David Ney, explores that question across Christian history in his forthcoming book, Clothed in the Word. Coming Nov. 10. Preorder: a.co/d/0jkt0xd6

What does it mean to belong to the people of God when a person cannot speak the words Christians often associate with faith? In her book published this week, God’s Heart for the Vulnerable, Trinity's Library Director, Dr. Susanah Wilson writes with the insight of a theologian and the heart of a mother whose own family has been shaped by autism and communication disability. Both a work of biblical theology and an appeal to the church, Wilson invites readers to discover a vision of Christian community in which the neurotypical and neurodiverse alike are valued as necessary members of Christ’s body. Available now via open access (libguides.thedtl.org/c.php?g…) or for purchase as a paperback (a.co/d/078LMc7D).

Why does the Book of Common Prayer put so much emphasis on God’s law? This might seem strange to many modern Christians for whom law and grace stand in stark contrast to one another. I explore this in Part 3 of my series on the theology of the Prayer Book, A School of Prayer. bryanhollon.substack.com/p/s…

Set us free, loving Father, from the bondage of our sins, and in your goodness and mercy give us the liberty of that abundant life which you have made known to us in our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. “All ministry is relational, so the best ministry training is relational.” Cranmer Corner and the reception area are where Trinity students, professors, visiting bishops, and rectors gather for conversations that form leaders and inspire mission in the ACNA. Now these well-used spaces urgently need new furniture, ADA-compliant bathrooms, flooring, and more. Will you help us make Cranmer Corner welcoming for today’s students and future generations? Every gift will be matched dollar for dollar by a generous donor—doubling your impact. Give today at tas.edu/cranmercorner.

"I began a Master of Divinity with another institution in a fully remote program, but I soon ached to be in a physical classroom, to interact directly and in real time with professors, and to be formed in a community praying the Daily Office. Not only did I desire an in-person learning experience, I also wanted my family to be formed in this kind of intentional community as well. We discussed the possibility of moving to Ambridge many times before finally deciding to apply to Trinity and become a full-time residential student here. It was one of the best decisions we have ever made! That is not to say our experience has been easy. The coursework is rigorous, and the expectations are high. We have faced various external challenges along the way, but our hopes to be formed by seminary life as a family have been fulfilled in innumerable ways at Trinity. The love and support from staff, faculty, and fellow students far exceeded what we could have ever anticipated. Likewise, the prayers and backing of our home church has kept us going. All this has affirmed what we know to be true—God is faithful! It was nerve-wracking at times to know if we were doing the right thing or if everything would work out, but he showed up through his people again and again. We are encouraged to know he will do this in the future as we seek to follow him and serve his church." - Micah W. (Current MDiv student)
