An old cowboy owned a small ranch in New Mexico. The New Mexico Wage & Hour Dept. claimed he was not paying proper wages to his help and sent an agent out to interview him.
“I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them,” demanded the agent.
“Well,” replied the rancher, “There’s my ranch hand who’s been with me for 3 years. I pay him $600 a week plus free room and board.
The cook has been here for 18 months, and I pay her $500 per week plus free room and board.
Then there’s the half-wit who works about 18 hours every day and does about 90% of all the work around here. He makes about $10 per week, pays his own room and board and I buy him a bottle of bourbon every Saturday night.”
“That’s the guy I want to talk to, the half-wit,” says the agent.
“That would be me,” replied the rancher.

Go to Luton. Go to Rochdale. Go to Bradford. Go to Tower Hamlets.
Jim Ratcliffe is right - it has been colonised by immigrants. That’s just a fact. No point pussyfooting around it. Streets and streets of entire families unable to speak in English, not working, not contributing - living under parallel legal systems.
It’s not even multiculturalism in some of these areas. There is one culture - Islam.
They do not want to live by the same rules as the rest of us. They choose not to be policed as the rest of us. So they’re not. What has that led to? We all know.
Britain increasingly resembles the third world. And with demographic changes, birthrates and immigration transforming our country as they are? That is a process which will only accelerate unless drastic action is taken.
I speak to MPs, plenty agree with me in private. They are, however, unwilling to say so publicly.
That needs to change, urgently.
The backlash for stating these obvious facts is aggressive, so MPs don’t do it. The intimidation works, it’s effective. But I don’t need the job, I don’t need the money. I’m just going to carry on telling the truth.
Let's continue to kick the shit out of the Overton window - that is step one.
Ratcliffe is right. And I respect him for having the balls to say it.

Out and about on a Saturday morning, seeing window cleaners up first thing getting on with the job. Plumbers and electricians starting work. Cafe owners, opening for a busy day. Publicans, preparing for the weekend Christmas rush.
Such a brutal contrast to the army of jumped-up little civil servants and politicians in Whitehall who have already clocked off the Christmas - the ones who implement the tax, devise the nonsense regulations, make the life of small business owners absolute hell.
They don't care about dividend tax rises, or VAT thresholds, or IR35, or mountains of bullshit HR rules.
They don't understand, they don't care.
Comfortable work environments, absolutely zero accountability, total job security, great pensions, no targets. Nobody EVER gets fired. The out of office reply in regular use, of course.
Work from home a few days a week. Maybe head in for drinks once a week, but that's at a stretch. Don't even try and contact them past 15.00 on a Thursday.
These busy little bureaucrats have embedded themselves into the system, building it so that their own pompous role seems irreplaceable.
Honestly we need to drag these people into the real world. The world of Saturday morning work. Weekend work. ANY WORK.
Freeloaders gliding through life on the back of productive Britain.
I'm with the cafe owner. The publican. The window cleaner. The plumber. The electrician.
THEY deserve our respect and our gratitude.
They're the ones who make this country work, not the pretentious empire-building desk-jockey in central London.
A total reset is required.

Britain is crumbling and dysfunctional, and we should not tolerate this. These sort of people are true community heroes and deserves huge credit...
However, why should they have to do the job of failing civil servants who are paid to do this? Something is badly wrong with our political system. @oliverthring

Thoughts from France 🇫🇷
- I WON!!! Haha Idk where to begin. All golfers dream about making the last putt to win a tournament and giving that big fist pump. Truly amazing that i was able to live out that dream. I’m also super proud of how I handled myself on Sunday. I told myself going into Sunday that I’m going for the win and not a top finish and it wasn’t perfect but I got the job done!
-Recap of 18: It was a good number for my 6i. I kinda bailed trying to make sure I didn’t hit it in the water knowing the bunker shot wouldn’t be too difficult. I had a good lie, and I had hit every putt on 18 way past the hole earlier in the week. I hit a bunker shot that I wanted to but it really didn’t run out as much as I thought. Elvis from a different angle gave me a slight read at the end of the putt. It looked pretty straight but knew it would tail off right at the end. I hit the putt the way I wanted, stayed super straight in the middle and caught the right lip to go in the hole!
-The putt on 18 was great but I might take more confidence in how I played 17. I was nervous cuz that’s when I really started to feel like I have a great chance at winning and I stepped up and totally executed my shots. The way I hit the 2nd shot (PW) to 7 ft, and absolutely buried the putt dead center, I’ll remember for a really long time.
-I hit it really bad at Wentworth the week before but worked on it Monday Tuesday, and for whatever reason it started feeling better Tuesday. I didn’t work on anything too different, just messed around with some feels to try and get the swing where I wanted. It felt better as the week went along.
-I don’t keep the big French Open trophy and they give me this cool plate instead. Honestly fine by me, that thing is like 40lbs and idk how I could travel with it.
