Dear Catholics, It is never a sin to want to have sex with your spouse. You all seem very confused about this. Sincerely, A concerned sister

understanding how NFP differs from contraception is an iq gate and I’m tired of pretending it isn’t
Because NFP is Catholic contraception. It’s funny that some think Humanae Vitae was issued to condemn contraception. It was issued to permit contraception just using certain means. Precisely because the modernists knew the “nuances” would fool everyone. It clearly worked.

I’m seeing modern women being like “Wow! What an amazing man! Why can’t I find a man like that? Ugh, men!” Ummm… this was the norm before women demanded “equality!” lol The fact this is even news is hilarious… “exclusive”

whatever you do don’t take dating advice from Catholic influencers
You don't marry a list of qualities, you marry a person. So if the woman you're talking to feels like you're screening her, she's going to feel used.

Catholic women: "if we're just dating why should I be expected to submit to him?" "so you'll submit when you're married right"? Catholic women: "it doesn't matter if I do, he's not supposed to tell me to!"

Divorcing your husband because you think you can "do better" is one of the fastest ways to ruin your life If a woman gets divorced, there is a 48% chance she will NOT remarry Alex Cooper remains undefeated for giving women the most toxic, life-destroying advice imaginable
"Call Her Daddy" host Alex Cooper & actress Sophia Bush: if a woman is questioning whether she can do better than her current husband, "the answer is always yes." "This idea that it's too late or you're too old, or who are you to want more, that's patriarchy. That is crazy."

This is ironic because submission discussion comes from the bible and women are insecure about obeying God.
This is ironic because the submission discussion comes from men who are insecure about not being competent or reliable enough for a woman to naturally defer to without coercion

This is an incredibly sad and soulless view of marriage. Nothing about the beauty of commitment, children or service. Love is about embracing and celebrating the person and sacrificing for their good. What is being described here is the opposite of love: it’s using the other person for their own ego, convenience and pleasure. We are building something that celebrates real love — subscribe to the Lila Rose Show!

Anti-egalatarianism is so vindicated from the fact that practically every woman turns completely heterodox when they are given a sliver of power in the Church. GO BACK TO THE CONVENTS!
Sr Mary Barron has renewed her activism for a female diaconate this week She told EWTN that: “women today may hear the call to priesthood. Some of the great women saints heard that call also. So for me, it’s how do we within the Church facilitate that discernment?”

Weird that Afleck understands this but Anthropic doesn't. Pope Leo gets it too.
Ben Affleck says AI is simply matrix multiplication, linear algebra and floating point calculations, and however convincingly it sounds like a person, it has nothing to do with thought, humanity or feeling “Nor do I believe, and I think it’s important to draw the distinction between what AI does, which is simply predict the next token or the next word in a sentence, then add that word on, run it back to the machine, do a lot of computation and pick the next word." "That is a very different thing than sentience or thought. And I think we need to be really clear about that because it can be convincingly, in an illusory way, sound like thought or like a person." "But let’s be real clear. This is matrix multiplication. This is linear algebra. These are floating point calculations. It has nothing to do with thought, humanity, or feeling.”

“If they gathered all the relics of the True Cross, it would make a large ship-load.” This has often been said since John Calvin and people just cynically accept it. But there is actually no evidence to support it. In fact, Charles Rohault de Fleury drew up a catalogue of all known relics, and determined that if they were all brought together it would not reach one-third the size of a typical cross used by the Romans. All this to say that if blind, gullible faith is an intellectual vice, so is blind, mocking suspicion.

We need to shame divorce again. Divorce is deeply evil, destroys families, and hurts children the most. "Til death do us part" has turned into "til I get bored of you."
My wife and I decided to get a divorce. There were no fights, just two adults who realised they drifted apart from each other. This is probably the hardest thing I had to go through. First of all, telling our girls...seeing them so sad was heartbreaking. But we are still a team as parents and will do everything for them! Also we have to sell our house, the house I wanted to live in forever and raise my kids in... Going back to a smaller appartment will be rough. I still have a lot of to handle, that's why I wasn't active here on X. I'm really grateful for all the people who reached out and asked where I was 🙏🏼 This women will always be a part of my life, she gifted me with two perfect daughters. I wish her all the best, great memories were made in those years! I'll be back soon. Thank you everyone 🙏🏼

Way too much modern Catholic moral argumentation boils down to nothing more than: 1. Human dignity, therefore 2. [Plug in desired conclusion] It's lazy and intellectually unserious and utterly unconvincing to anyone who doesn't already agree with whatever conclusion one is trying to establish. It opens the door to all kinds of mischief, because the notion of "human dignity" is so vague and contested that it can be, and is, deployed to arrive at all sorts of conclusions, including conclusions that contradict one another. And for that reason, bare appeals to human dignity are inevitably question-begging, because what human dignity amounts to and what it entails are precisely what is in dispute between the different sides of the various issues to which the notion is applied (capital punishment, immigration, sexuality, or whatever). This is one of the many high costs of having taken Catholic theology off of the Scholastic gold standard. Too many minds have turned to mush and simply don't know how to reason logically. They just repeat gauzy stock phrases and stomp their feet.

He forgot about poetry. Have a poem ready to stand and read at dinner during ur first date.
Attention Young Men: I am surrounded by 20 year old girls in my life that are smart, capable, hard working and cute. Nobody is dating them. Not sure what the deal is, but I don’t get it. Step 1: Stop playing video games Step 2: Head to great clips and get that lettuce cleaned up Step 3: Hit a shower (when dating hygiene is critical) Step 4: Go clean your car Step 5: Sign up for a yoga class Step 6: Go to the yoga class Step 7: Ask a cute for her phone number at yoga class (yes you can meet girls IRL and not just on the apps - 10/10 the Dirt Dog highly recommends) Step 8: Follow up within 2 days with a phone call and ask them out for this coming weekend Friday or Saturday night. Step 9: IMPORTANT - come up with a good game plane for date night. Get a dinner reservation, get an activity planned. Let them know in advance what you are doing so they can dress appropriately. I know you are gunna roll off the couch and head to date night, but they are not. They are going to stress about what to wear and call at least 6 different people on FaceTime to ask their opinion. Step 10: I highly recommend you bring flowers to the door step. I’m not covering that you go to the doorstep, because if you don’t do that you have no hope here. Women want men to date them. You don’t need to break the bank on flowers. Head to Trader Joe’s. Grab 2 different kinds of flowers. If you don’t know what matches find the closest looking lady to your mom at TJ’s and ask her. Wrap the 2 flowers into 1 bouquet with paper. Bonus Points you can cut open a TJ bag and use that as the paper. Step 11: Be a gentleman on the date. She isn’t there to hear your life story. Ask her about her. For every 1 question you answer, ask her 3. Open Doors, pay for the meal, be polite. Provided you follow most of this guideline you are highly likely to get yourself an opportunity for date number 2. Keep going until you find someone that you can’t imagine not being around all the time. That’s when you have found a good one for you. My life is complete with my wife as my companion. I wish you the same fortune in life. Happy Hunting.
