I think we've discovered another critical vulnerability:
CVE-2026-BURNOUT: AppSec Professional Exhaustion
Severity: Critical (CVSS 10.0)
Description: A vulnerability affecting security professionals exposed to a continuous stream of critical RCEs, zero-days, emergency patches, and Friday afternoon disclosures.
Impact: Sleep deprivation, excessive caffeine consumption, and an inability to enjoy weekends.
Attack vector: Reading security advisories.
Affected versions: All AppSec professionals, regardless of experience.
Mitigation: No known patch. Air-gapping may delay the inevitable. Total system collapse remains a possibility. 🔥

The foolproof way to ensure AI safety in the sense of stopping cyber attacks is to tell the labs that until we have a better legislative option, the chief executive of the lab will be held personally accountable for agentic actions stemming from their lab. Cyber crime will be punished according to current legislation.
Instantly, these "oh my model escaped its sandbox that we intentionally made insecure" stories will stop.

Meta’s LLM for software testing work is super exciting.
This paper describes Meta’s TestGen-LLM tool, which uses LLMs to automatically improve existing human-written tests. TestGen-LLM verifies that its generated test classes successfully clear a set of filters that assure measurable improvement over the original test suite, thereby eliminating problems due to LLM hallucination. We describe the deployment of TestGen-LLM at Meta test-a-thons for the Instagram and Facebook platforms. In an evaluation on Reels and Stories products for Instagram, 75% of TestGen-LLM’s test cases built correctly, 57% passed reliably, and 25% increased coverage. During Meta’s Instagram and Facebook test-a-thons, it improved 11.5% of all classes to which it was applied, with 73% of its recommendations being accepted for production deployment by Meta software engineers. We believe this is the first report on industrial scale deployment of LLM-generated code backed by such assurances of code improvement.

🚨 BREAKING: Nvidia just released Chat with RTX, an AI chatbot that runs locally on your PC.
It can summarize or search documents across your PC's files and even YouTube videos and playlists.
The chatbot runs locally, meaning results are fast, you can use it without the internet, and the user's data stays private.
New day, new chatbot. Let's go.

While CPI inflation is at 3.1%, inflation is much higher in many basic necessities:
1. Car Insurance Inflation: 19.2%
2. Transportation Inflation: 10.1%
3. Car Repair Inflation: 8.5%
4. Rent Inflation: 6.9%
5. Homeowner Inflation: 6.7%
6. Food Away From Home Inflation: 5.3%
7. Electricity Inflation: 3.4%
Used car and truck prices increased +1.6% in November, the first monthly increase since May 2023.
It's also worth noting that we do NOT have deflation, we have disinflation.
While the rate of inflation is DOWN, prices are still RISING.
Affordability is still getting worse.

I’m very excited to share our work on Gemini today! Gemini is a family of multimodal models that demonstrate really strong capabilities across the image, audio, video, and text domains. Our most-capable model, Gemini Ultra, advances the state of the art in 30 of 32 benchmarks, including 10 of 12 popular text and reasoning benchmarks, 9 of 9 image understanding benchmarks, 6 of 6 video understanding benchmarks, and 5 of 5 speech recognition and speech translation benchmarks. Gemini Ultra is the first model to achieve human-expert performance on MMLU across 57 subjects with a score above 90%. It also achieves a new state-of-the-art score of 62.4% on the new MMMU multimodal reasoning benchmark, outperforming the previous best model by more than 5 percentage points.
Gemini was built by an awesome team of people from @GoogleDeepMind, @GoogleResearch, and elsewhere at @Google, and is one of the largest science and engineering efforts we’ve ever undertaken. As one of the two overall technical leads of the Gemini effort, along with my colleague @OriolVinyalsML, I am incredibly proud of the whole team, and we’re so excited to be sharing our work with you today!
There’s quite a lot of different material about Gemini available, starting with:
Main blog post: blog.google/technology/ai/go…
60-page technical report authored by th Gemini Team: deepmind.google/gemini/gemin…
In this thread, I’ll walk you through some of the highlights.

I’m super excited to have you join as CEO of this new group, Sam, setting a new pace for innovation. We’ve learned a lot over the years about how to give founders and innovators space to build independent identities and cultures within Microsoft, including GitHub, Mojang Studios, and LinkedIn, and I’m looking forward to having you do the same.
