Today is Indigenous Peoples Day. San Antonio sits on the homelands of the Jumanos, Coahuiltecan peoples, Ndé Kónitsąąíí Gokíyaa (Lipan Apache), and Tonkawa. These peoples cared for this land and its waters, including the springs that became the San Antonio River, and their descendants are still here.
