GW9 looks like a brilliant week to wildcard.
✅ Fixture swings for Villa, Bournemouth and Tottenham.
✅ Joao Pedro injury, which also has a knock-on effect for Palmer and Rogers.
✅ A few yellow flags.
✅ Plenty of info available on minutes, DEFCON, underlying data etc.
If I still had the chip, I would definitely be playing it!

What a horrendous gameweek that was! 🥹
Just when I thought I was turning the corner, FPL does what it does best and knocks you back down to the canvas! 💀
It was a gameweek of wrong decisions: wrong transfer, wrong captain, wrong vice-captain and even the wrong bench order. And I was punished for every single one.
The cherry on top of the cake was Bobby Thomas being my auto-sub, who was subbed off injured 1 minute before banking his clean sheet.
Basically everything that could go wrong did this week, and I am down to a pathetic 2.98m rank with only a triple captain chip left to play.
The silver lining? Well, at least I don't own Cole Palmer! 😆

Fulham's defence has transformed with this man in it.
First 3 games (without Affengruber): 7 goals conceded and 0 clean sheets.
Last 5 games (with Affengruber): 3 goals conceded and 3 clean sheets.
Is Fulham still a fixture to target, or should we be loading up on their defence instead?
Given all the craziness GW8 has brought us so far, this actually feels like a mega haul!! Glad I kept the faith in this man. Very handy differential points! 👍👑
Lots of chatter about MGW being rubbish, a waste of money etc but he still outscored Cherki by 2 points!

Despite the Saka injury, I am seriously considering just benching him and rolling my transfer! I've clearly been watching far too many @LetsTalk_FPL videos, haven't I?! 🤣
I think I will go with Joao Pedro captain this week because:
☑️ He is averaging 11 points per game in home games so far this season.
☑️ Chelsea are playing well and scoring goals.
☑️ Tottenham have only won once at Stamford Bridge in the PL in the last 36 years.
☑️ It's not the early kick-off.
I often over-analyse my FPL decisions, but this one just feels like common sense to me. Let's see how badly wrong I get it! 🤣

17 points from the bench boost and a GW rank of 23,242 helped me climb over 2.2m places. Can't remember ever having a rank rise as high as this in one gameweek!
