#Electoralbond donations were not about ideological loyalty to any party, my analysis suggests. Out of 263 cos that bought bonds more than once, only 91 fall on the 'loyalty line' (same party every time). (Interactive chart with company labels on @livemint website.)

Please, read books. Not just captions, or carousel posts, or what made it to the top of your feed. Read books. Long ones. Complex ones. You cannot build a mind with weight on the back of social media ephemerals. Intellectual depth demands patience.

#ICYMI Check out this big, beautiful story by @TanaySukumar who plotted sleep patterns of nearly half a million people from the nationally-representative Time Use Survey. As it turns out, young women tending to household chores and childcare have a piling sleep debt.

.@TanaySukumar pulling a proper Hans Rosling, asking people questions about fundamental demographic stats as he begins his talk. Never thought a data journalist would be lecturing at a pub in South Delhi.

We must introduce ‘Probability’ in our school curricula at a very early stage. Very few people (including experts) understand CHANCE and UNCERTAINTY in our lives. @ncert

In 1953, India had around 330 daily newspapers with a readership of 2.5 million. Today, there are close to 20,000 dailies, with a readership of over 70 million! We have 70 Urdu dailies with a circulation of 213,000. 21 Malayalam dailies with 196,000 circulation. #newspapers

The upward trend among girls choosing Science reflects changing aspirations of Indian families, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns. It suggests that parents are supporting girls in pursuing STEM careers once considered less accessible.

I tried to look for some iota of truth in what you said. I found none; you lie beyond imagination...

A typical Indian marriage is far from an equal partnership when it comes to running the family. Films like 'The Great Indian Kitchen'/'Mrs.' resonated with many for a reason – and our analysis of the govt's Time Use Survey confirms it. Through data, @_pragyaa shows how...

...marriage changes lives for men and women differently. (Correction: it doesn't change men's lives much, when it comes to how they spend their day.) The striking numbers in today's #MintPlainFacts will leave you with a lot to ponder about.
