The 3 lanes abruptly become 2 and again become 3. And to add on to that the expressway introduces traffic from the left which does not give way, they race to beat existing traffic. But @ntsa_kenya will penalize you for driving at 60kph. Bad road design is never acknowledged.

Dear NCA @ncakenya our elders taught us that when we hear of a collapsed building we should not ask if the Ceiling is still intact.
The problem with Kenyans is you cannot wish them away. You cannot hurriedly scribble an excuse and hope Kenyans will go to sleep. Kenyans are not a type of Civilians one can fold into his pocket and walk away with. To alter one Politician’s words, ‘you cannot wrap Kenyans into a sack of potatoes, carry them on your back, when you get tired set them down and sit on them as you look for an auctioneer’. They will ask, ‘WHY, HOW, WHERE, WHAT’,
Your Press Statement has raised several concerns.
The Architect and the Engineer mentioned have vehemently dissociated themselves from this ill fated project. Everybody is wondering;
1. You used to send Notifications to the design team during approvals, did you do it for this case?
2. Do you have a system to confirm if the design team is always retained for supervision of works?
3. Are you adequately staffed or your structure is a physical bottom up model - more support staff (HR, accountants, PR, clerks, Procurement officers, yam heads) than technical staff (architects, QSs, Engineers and Construction Managers)?
4. Besides your staff visiting for “compliance”, do they also concern themselves with workmanship?
I wish you strength during this difficult time.

Problem is, you are razor focused on charging private cars with speeding.

Road agencies build roads with absolutely no standards
Declare road safety a national disaster
Road crashes have reached a national emergency level, with about 20,000 crashes claiming over 5,000 lives annually, destroying families, overwhelming our health system and eroding economic productivity.
As an Authority, we propose that road traffic crashes be declared a national disaster to mobilise urgent government action, secure adequate funding and ensure coordinated enforcement.
Such a declaration would enable whole-of-government coordination under clear accountability, and enforce measurable targets across road agencies, the National Police Service, the health sector and county governments.
Our goal is simple: save lives, reduce fatalities and serious injuries, and protect Kenya's human capital.
Road safety is not just a transport issue; it is a national development and security priority.
With everyone's support, we can avert this disaster.

My (uneducated and probably obvious to everyone) thoughts on how we can reduce road carnage.
For this to work, corruption must first be killed within the transport sector. If we can't kill corruption then nothing will work. – at Nairobi, Kenya

Isiolo-Wajir road showing sections that have a concrete lined edge and another section that has a deep stone-pitched drainage channel. Wadis are one of the major construction challenges facing roads in Kenya’s ASALs as flash floods overtime wear off the road's surface.
That horrific Mombasa Road crash is pure tragedy, dualling that road doesn't require a PPP. We dualled & paved massive corridors like Merille River–Moyale (A2) & South Sudan Corridor (A1) in multi-lot phases using standard procurement. Truck stops are key.

Sakaja LIED to Kenyans that the building that collapsed in Eastleigh had NO APPROVAL yet He approved the construction.
I have posted the approval that was done on 13th February, 2024.
This is a big joke from the incompetent sakaja. He must take responsibility for this tragedy after collecting a bribe of 120million.

You cannot get NCA approval without a construction permit from the County.
What is the County trying to hide?
Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja says the multi-storey building that collapsed along 9th Street in Eastleigh was under construction without the required approvals, despite an application for a 15-storey building with a basement having been submitted.
Sakaja says the county has forwarded documentation to the DCI for investigations and called for accountability among the developer and professionals involved, including the architect and engineer on record.
