We cannot afford the house my parents purchased on a single electrician's income in their 30s.
We cannot afford the house my immigrant grandparents purchased on a single MTA bus driver's salary in their 30s. They had SIX CHILDREN.
For 30 years, politicians in Washington & their oligarch allies convinced regular people that this was just about avocado toast and fancy coffee.
In reality, this is end-stage capitalism. Everyone is stuck in place. It's impossible to buy a home. It's too costly to move. We work too much to have passion projects. We don't have enough savings to start our own businesses. We can't afford to go without healthcare to do it.

To me, these verses speak to turning away wicked plots. Verse 6 talks about the enemy plotting against the righteous one: they gather, they hide, and they watch your steps. Verse 7 asks God to stop the enemy in their tracks and to turn their plots back against them. Verse 9 is when you pray out to God and the enemy flees, because you know God is for you, the one they plotted against. ๐๏ธโจ

The spiders need to start contributing to rent because I mean, I want them comfortable but building webs in places frequented and cleaned often is a little bit inconveniencing. Oddly enough, they listen. I give them deadlines and they seem to abide. That's one cool part.

An unlicensed cab driver is charged with kidnapping a 15-year-old girl and forcing her into his basement apartment on Garrison Boulevard in Northwest Baltimore.
Police say he stabbed her at least 5 times, leaving her with a collapsed lung.
