Coming to end of #SASweek24 and here’s a post from my own department, introducing two of our wonderful SAS docs as they come on to the night shift. Why do they think EM and SAS docs are a good combination? @RCollEM @EMSAS_RCEM @UHP_NHS @NanetteBothma

🎉 A huge congratulations to all the EDs that have received their @GreenED_uk accreditations!
The first EDs in the UK to become accredited are: Heartlands Hospital @uhbtrust, University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire @nhsuhcw, Derriford Hospital @UHP_NHS, Great Western Hospital @GWH_NHS and Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital @NorthumbriaNHS.
👏 A massive well done to all the GreenED teams on their achievements.

The Emergency Department at Forth Valley Royal Hospital is there to treat patients with critical illnesses and injuries, like suspected heart attacks, strokes and breathing difficulties, who require emergency care ⬇

ALT Image of a phone with 111 on the screen. Text reads: "The Emergency Department is for critical emergencies. If you attend with a minor, non-urgent condition you will be asked to attend another service such as your pharmacy, Minor Injuries Unit or GP Practice. If you are unsure of where to go for health advice and treatment visit NHS Inform or call NHS 24 on 111." Includes the NHS Forth Valley logo

Not many people know this but you can check the waiting times for the Emergency Department online and may help you decide where to attend or perhaps redirect to Pharmacy, GPs or 111 for a possible appointment in minor injuries. Great resource. @TeamFVED
