Not sure who needs to hear this, but sticking a camera in a class and live-streaming to remote learners is NOT teaching. Teaching virtually is all-consuming and requires significant back & forth communication. Requiring simultaneous F2F & virtual instruction sets both up to fail.

Your face is something special. So unique that it can unlock your phone. It has its own language. It tells people what's on your mind without saying a word.
It's not ugly. It's not weird. It's beautifully...you.
Let your students see it online. #CoronavirusOutbreak

I never thought I would say this but online teaching requires much more prep work than classroom teaching. I’m worn slam out. Lol

I'm not sure who needs to hear this, but in the desktop version of @zoom_us, you can set your mic to mute automatically when you join a meeting, and only unmute while you hold down the spacebar (press and hold to talk, CB-radio style). 💯

I think a good project next week would be to learn as much about your family history as possible. Whether adopted or not, your family has a story and probably some interesting characters or anecdotes among them. What a way to spend time bonding and learning.

This crisis requires flexibility, and it’s difficult enough to change your entire delivery method, let alone try to schedule everyone LIVE at one place online. – at Clarkesville, GA

Remember if you have made this transition to digital in last 4 days you have probably provided a great deal of patience and grace to your students to transition. That patience and grace can be extended back to you the teacher as you find your routine. #DigitalEdChat
