"BIOX" accounts — cash talk.
I don’t chase money on X (and don’t care to). That’s why the real work lives on Substack. I keep seeing posts about X revenue being low, and from what I hear it tracks.
X pays on impressions from Premium users. For most of us it’s thin and volatile. Substack pays for quality and depth.
For context: first post was Nov 5th. In under a year I’ve gone from low-to-mid five figures gross annualized to meaningfully higher, with paid subs up over 50% and the free list nearly doubled. Still not full-time money for most people, but real compensation for the work instead of for interactions.
Curious what other BIOX folks are seeing:
Anything material from X?
How’s the Substack (or equivalent) side looking in rough terms — paid growth, side income vs noise, etc.?
X is for the conversation. Stack is where quality gets paid. What’s your split?

$SYRE and $ORKA extended life abs ( phase 2 ) put them at strong positions for m&A but MC dislocation vs $VKTX and $KLRA - phase 3 potentially better than TZP assets is the most short vision by the bipolar biotech market now. Essentially scraping obesity as M&A theme while $LLY making more than all top pharma revenues on one drug. ?
I could also include $KYMR as viewed certain M&A valuation on phase 1 data as few will stick around till phase 3 completed.

if you're investing/accelerating the frontier biotech wave
here are 4 patterns to watch (bookmark this)
1. the moat is moving from the model to the lab
→ anthropic runs a wet lab, openai bought orchestra bio, warp sciences raised $215M for ai-run chemistry, and danaher's antibody lab is expected at scale in early 2027
→ biohub and partners put $1.8B behind generating the cell data models are missing
watch: who owns the proprietary experimental data, not who has the best model
2. deal structure beats geography
→ the us treasury proposed barring equity, JVs and certain LP stakes in chinese biotech
→ cash licensing stays outside it. pfizer's $100M stake in 3sbio is the kind of deal it would block, a pure license like bms-hengrui looks unaffected
watch: where your co-investors and LPs sit, and whether your China exposure is equity or a license
3. gene editing graduated from promise to phase 3
→ one infusion cut hereditary angioedema attacks 87%
→ a one-time edit dropped LDL up to 62% (phase 1)
→ a personalized mrna vaccine beat keytruda alone in melanoma
watch: delivery and manufacturing speed. design is getting cheap (a guy with chatgpt and alphafold designed his dog's cancer vaccine). making it fast is the bottleneck
4. the FDA is leaning in
→ dostarlimab got accelerated approval for dMMR rectal cancer, a multi-cancer blood test won a panel vote, and aging is headed into the next regulatory science priorities
watch: the endpoint. nobody has defined what "slowing aging" means in a trial yet
if you're backing this wave, my DMs are open

Every neuron has a brake. This drug leans on it.
Azetukalner ($XENE) opens a Kv7.2/7.3 potassium channel in the axon initial segment, where seizures start. NDA filed September 2026.
The interesting part is the chemistry, not the mechanism.

$CMPX : Encouraging data, unfinished FDA business
Compass Therapeutics made BPIQ’s ESMO Day 2 highlights this weekend with tovecimig in previously treated biliary tract cancer.
The randomized COMPANION-002 study showed response rates of 18% versus 5.3% and median progression-free survival of 4.7 versus 2.6 months. Both were statistically significant. There is credible activity here in a difficult cancer with limited treatment options.
The question remains overall survival. This weekend’s new crossover-adjusted analysis produced a hazard ratio of 0.85, but it still missed statistical significance. Crossover complicates the comparison, but adjusting for it has not established that patients live longer.
Safety also matters. Grade 3 or higher treatment-emergent adverse events occurred in 93.5% versus 64.2%, with more treatment discontinuations in the combination arm. That burden belongs alongside the efficacy numbers.
The FDA previously recommended another trial demonstrating a survival benefit before filing. Compass disagrees and continues discussions. This weekend brought no announced change in that position.
My take: The data support continued development. For the stock, the next meaningful step is a clear FDA path. Another trial would bring time, cost and funding back to the center of the discussion.

$VKTX
The only WL assets late stage left are VKTX and KLRA. VKTX is pretty much derisked while KLRA still has huge uncertainty. If KLRA fails to deliver on their results for any reason whether WL or tolerability this puts VKTX which is already in a strong position in a even stronger one. In chess terms this would be a check mate to everyone else from vktx. Youd have the only remaining all round BIC differentiated drug late stage in a 100b plus market just sitting there while Eli lilly, Novo, Abbv, PFE… etc just sit there and watch. With a lot of BP patents expiring too this would be the only real ticket to compete in the biggest market. There would be nothing else. It would be the only ticket left and it’s the golden ticket too. Interesting times ahead.
