As a person who has made professional art for over 30 years, let me tell you some hilarious shit.
- I remember when artists freaked the fuck out when photoshop and digitizers came out. Digital art was going to ruin jobs for artists. (It didnt)
- I was there when artists freaked the fuck out when video games made the transition from 2D games to 3D games because making 3D art, was going to ruin "art" in video games and making 3D art wasn't "real" art. (It didnt ruin art and it is real art) **Literally knew people personally that quit making games because they hated the transition to 3D.
The thing with "real" artists, is that artists adapt and make art, regardless of the medium and typically don't give two flying shits about what "other" artists are doing because you should be busy just being you and creating what your heart tells you.
Be it on Canvas
Digital 2D/3D
Side of a building
Macaroni Art
Sculpting
Music
Dance
Sports
... or whatever the NEW thing is that comes along every couple of years or so.
If you create - you are an artist. Period.
You do you, whatever that is and let your soul be happy.
Its nobody else's business what that is. The cool thing about art in any form is that its subjective and if you dont like it - don't participate. There is lots of bad art. Lots of great art and everything inbetween.
Don't like peas, don't eat peas. Easy. No one needs to hear about how much you hate peas. That's your problem.
But, how does one invest in music production?
Not in artists, because when people dig for gold, not everyone finds gold but everyone must buy a gold pan.
Within the first 3 weeks of using a personal AI assistant, 40% of users give it a credit card information to make purchases on their behalf.
Laziness can and should be monetized.

Whatever you did for one of the least of these… you were doing it to me.

My take on B2B E-commerce is that what looks like a broken middleman system to an outside founder is actually a lean, resilient micro-economy. Do NOT attempt to replace/fix.

You see, this is not the Chinese business community's first attempt to set up a DTC/D2C (Direct to Consumer) model in Lagos.
They have done it before, and they have learnt what needs to give, for the model to survive.
In 2001/2002, China Town was established in Ojota, Lagos.../1
A little change of pace. Been considering slowing down generally.

Next - Slow Productivity
Wealth is not a static inventory of money sitting in a vault; it is a dynamic measure of value exchange.

Genuinely took a few minutes to make sure the HMO here means a form of Health insurance and not something else. Because as a medical practitioner, this is a severely reckless thing to say.
This likely stemmed from attending to a whole family at once. And so what? Are they there every day? Aren’t we practicing preventive healthcare anymore???
You also don’t know the status of the households and why they chose to utilize their HMO at once. Should they come several times and leave their jobs? Are they not using their money?
I cannot fathom that a Medical Doctor is advocating for the ban of health insurance in a country that has between 3-13% coverage (depending on who you ask).
Not sure why this is boiling my blood so much, but I can nod you for this thing you just said 🤬
