GW1 - MDC 17 points, White 11 points GW2 - Calafiori 11 points; Tark 12 pts GW3 - Gvardiol 8 points GW4 - MDC 11 points GW5 - Hall 13 points; Tark 12 points GW 6 - MDC 15 points GW7 - Vuscovic 11 points GW8 - Konsa 14 points; Gab 17 pts GW9 - JPVH 15 points The more predictable mega hauls keep coming from defenders yet we keep wasting transfers on Schade, Tavernier, MGW, Mbeumo etc. Play 4-5 defs and chill is the meta I think. Even more so than last year since there is no clear Anderson type pick.

Bournemouth defence is legit πŸ”’ Top 3 for xGC per 90 and they've already played City, Liverpool and Chelsea. Imagine what happens with an easier run. Silva is a def con magnet at Β£5m and will be in our teams for a long, long time

5 thoughts βœ… 1. Silva/ Van Hecke & Muharemovic best defenders long term 2. Tavernier best cheap mid to bring in 3. Keep JoΓ£o Pedro if you can - it’s only likely 2 games out 4. Jackson/ DCL best replacements. Barry next. 5. Start Calafiori over Konsa for upside.

7 Thought’s βœ… 1. Calvert Lewin best cheap striker 2. Triple Brighton a must 3. Don’t think Saka is worth the price 4. Still like triple Chelsea attack 5. Mbuemo going under the radar playing up front 6. Haaland only viable city option 7. Everton/Leeds good defence

Good half that. Limited Leeds to hardly any chances and importantly scored! I still don't think we're creating enough, but this setup makes us a little more solid overall. That was Mbeumo's 4th goal this season!

I believe there are 2-3 DEFCON assets in a league of their own. β€’ Tarkowski and Muharemovic β€’ Vuskovic is also in this bracket if the DC numbers hold up! I wanted to elaborate a little on what I think is the best way to fully utilise their potential: Of course you will always play these guys in the β€œeasier” fixtures, and rightly so. But it’s often the slightly trickier fixtures which yield the greatest potential! And because we’re all so used to simply picking the best fixtures within our XI, these guys may often be benched in potentially great matchups. Teams that might be harder to keep out, but the DEFCON chances are so high that a clean sheet can strike gold. (I’ve touched on this idea previously but really wanted to encourage this way of thinking for certain assets) It’s the idea that a simple clean sheet with no attacking returns can yield up to 10-11 points (with bonus). Now the chances of this are slim, but it’s a ticket to a fairly achievable lottery. Not only that, but on the occasion that they don’t hit these heights, there’s still the excellent insurance policy of at least 3-4 points. This isn’t including their substantial set piece threat either! That’s why these three are so elite (in my opinion), they all also have superb attacking threat in solid defences. But DEFCON wise you have to be in the lottery to win it, and I like to target home games in particular. I feel like the home games are often the more likely chance of a CS in trickier games and just in general slightly better prospects. Now I’m not saying this will pay off every time! There will even be a couple of 1 pointers in there. But have trust in the overall strategy as I think the potential outweighs the downside with such great picks! I’ll probably only bench these assets in games with around 15% CS odds or less. Even then I don’t mind playing them if need be! This was a lengthy explanation… but I hope it was a somewhat useful insight into my way of thinking when it comes to these guys! πŸ˜€

Thing with Leeds is, no midweek GW7 - Man Utd - midweek away trip to Madrid GW8 - Sunderland - Thu away game in Poland GW9 - Bournemouth - Villa in Carabao midweek (Leeds are out so again will rest) After GW10 their fixtures are great anyway. All of this to say, welcome
