Overregulating American AI won’t make us more competitive. It could slow American innovation while creating a new dependency on China.
We’ve made this mistake with critical industries before. We shouldn’t repeat it with one of the most important technologies of the future.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott just exposed the reality of Chinese Communist Party transnational repression.
“Some of [it] is more obvious.”
“Some of [it] is more secretive… ”
We’ve experienced this transnational repression from the CCP ourselves.
The Epoch Times was founded by Chinese Americans.
The CCP has not liked our reporting on China.
And Governor Abbott deserves credit for leading the way in protecting Texas and its citizens from this kind of repression.
His administration has led a dramatic shift in the approach to dealing with CCP infiltration across the board.
Land ownership.
Critical infrastructure contracts.
State government contracting and investment.
Technology and government devices.
Higher education partnerships.
K-12 curriculum.

When people say AI won't take jobs, but instead make us more efficient, this is what they mean. The real opportunity is in helping people accomplish more with less effort.

Today, we sued TP-Link for lying about the safety of its routers and its ties to the CCP.
TP-Link sold Floridians the digital front door to their home network while misrepresenting how secure it was, how separated the company was from China, and what could happen to their data.

Texas is becoming a tech and financial powerhouse, with “Y’all Street” emerging as a major financial hub.
Yet, as Texas’s financial services grow, so will the need for the data center infrastructure powering it.

Texas should take advantage of the hysteria, build more modern data centers, and solidify its position as the leader in yet another major component of the economy of the future.
Replying to @Policy_Solution
From Dallas’ booming financial sector to the Texas Stock Exchange, Texas is emerging as the next financial powerhouse, and data centers are the backbone that makes it possible.

Texas is becoming a financial powerhouse, attracting banks, investment firms, financial talent, and even major stock exchanges.
But @TheMikeMartin reminds us modern finance runs on modern data centers. That's one piece of “Y’all Street” we have to get right. 🧵
Another financial giant is coming to Y’all Street. @MorganStanley’s $1.2 billion Dallas investment is another clear signal: capital, jobs, and opportunity are moving to Texas.
We built the environment. The market is responding. Texas is America’s new financial powerhouse.

We are running the risk of becoming dependent on China for critical inputs that feed AI development.
@TheMikeMartin explains in his newest op-ed for @realDailyWire how we cannot repeat history by getting hooked on Chinese Communist Party resources.

China doesn’t need the #1 product to control a market, just one that’s cheap and good enough.
They’ve done it w/ rare earths, steel, and drugs. We can't grant the CCP this type of share over AI technologies.

If the U.S. overregulates AI, we risk repeating the same mistake we made with rare earths, steel, and pharmaceuticals: surrendering the market to China.
As @TheMikeMartin writes, America shouldn’t build the world’s most sophisticated AI just to regulate itself out of the race.

Two years ago, American deterrence was in shambles.
Yesterday, the Trump admin announced a permanent, dominant American position in the Arctic, further securing the Western Hemisphere.
Ignore the media hype. America is preparing to deter conflict.

“ITS CALLED ‘POLICY LAUNDERING’ AND ITS WHEN YOU GET A FOREIGN GOVERNMENT TO ADOPT YOUR PLAN AND THEN RUN A PR OP BACK AT YOUR WASHINGTON OPPONENTS SAYING ITS AN ‘INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED STANDARD’.”
Aged well.
On Monday, I told @DanaPerino the CCP spreads anti-data center propaganda online.
Today, Twitter confirmed it.
"On the back end of this is the Chinese Communist Party sowing up dissent and pushing propaganda into our country because they do not want us to build, full stop."👇
The industry has not done enough to highlight benefits for consumers. I did my own research and found there is plenty to say.
Data centers need to listen to consumers, adapt, and then show them the benefits.
My op-ed in FoxNews.com and a thread of examples I found.

There is so much good work that can be done in the healthcare space. HHS is quietly taking on insurance and hospital systems (which are basically private equity now)
Every time you receive a medical bill, you're paying for more than your care. Today, we're taking the first step toward changing that.
We want to hear from every American who believes that health care should serve patients—not special interests. Share your feedback through the Federal Register at the link below as we work to build a simpler, more transparent, and more affordable medical billing system.

This is the right message -- Real solutions to concerns. Real community benefits. America wins. China loses.
Modern data centers are a critical asset for our competition with Communist China, and as a jobs generator for local communities.
I joined @FoxNews' @DanaPerino to discuss how America's tech infrastructure buildout creates local jobs & builds national strength against the CCP.
