When you think about how much promise is (or was) in the Abuja Master Plan and greater FCT Regional Plan, you can't help but get annoyed at how slowly it is being realised, to the point that this one road (Apo-Karshi) is getting so much reaction.

Or the many roads Wike and Co have been opening up. The transitways connecting ALL districts (except in Phase I) are the ones that will unlock the city kpata kpata.

Good. So why can't I find Season 5 on Netflix already???
The Diplomat has been renewed!

The starting line up was nonsense to begin with. If your striker is injured, put in ANOTHER STRIKER!!! Using a false 9 when Welbeck is on the bench smh.

Pretty desperate that X auto-scrolls to a random new video when you just finished watching one. At least, IG replays and gives you the illusion of getting into the doomscroll yourself.

Every time Aneha brings up her parents, it just feels like she's trying to bend Cam's arm to a point where he gives up. She doesn't want to marry him and is using her parents as an excuse. #LoveIsBlind

I think the most unbelievable aspect of The Diplomat us that the UK has managed to have one Prime Minister for so long.

Why spend so much time asking the Minister of the FCT about national and other state's politics, when there are myriad of issues IN THE FCT where he is Minister, @ARISEtv @channelstv @tvcnewsng @AIT_Online @NewsCentralTV

Your current FCT Minister a comedian.

Adobe prices in Naira are atrocious. Wow.

Before the Abuja City Gate got its touch up, most of the pictures were taken from the city-approach view, like below, with the National Stadium in the background.

More recently, because the accessible public space is somewhat 'behind' the gate, most pictures are taken from the other side, like these below. This creates one problem: the FCT outline map now appears inverted in almost all newer images of the Abuja City Gate.

May seem like a negligible issue yet I can't help but notice it everytime. I think it may be worth replacing that hanging outline map with a two sided map, seperate by something opaque. That way, it can retain its original form regardless of what side the image is taken from.

For those who may be unaware about their "tactics", what's the giveaway, based on the conversation they were having?

Abeg, just leave Igala out of tribal wars, please and please. Let us gossip and drink obiolo in peace.
THE ORIGIN OF ACHI-OKE(Aso-oke) The first people to weave clothes were the Igala. They weaved thick cloth called achi, which they exported to various towns, including those in the southwest. Through this trade, the fabric became known as Achioke (aso-oke) meaning achi cloth from the up or northern side, as Igala traders traveled from north to south. Over time, Achioke evolved into what is now called Aso-oke

Here is the valuation analysis on the Dangote IPO I promised. Please read and share your thoughts and comments. intelligentsia234.substack.c…
Should I do a valuation analysis on the Dangote IPO? Like a sell side research report to help figure out if it's properly valued or not since Nigerian banks have all gbabode.

Like when people who are good at what they do show off how good they can be at whatever they do. This looks so detailed and well done.

When you say, "we stopped it," what does that mean? should be the next logical question.
“In Rivers, I said, ‘No, we have a problem here in Rivers. Obi will not win here. If he wins, it will send a signal…’ And I stopped it.” -Wike So one man decides who wins an election in an entire state?

Quite an interesting observation, that the promptness of public transportation in a city/country may correlate to degrees of punctuality.
An opportunity-based public transport system instead of a time-based one contributed to our disregard for time. Instead of a 10 am bus, it's just, stand by the road, and a matatu will find you SGR really humbled people in the beginning, as it brought a price to pay for lateness

Look how Nigerian policemen are responding to protesters, who are their fellow citizens, as if they are enemies at war.
💔 The deaths have now sparked anger and protests in Minna, with people demanding answers over how 37 young people could die while in government custody, where they're supposed to be kept from harm. 24-hour curfew has now been declared in Minna to curb any form of violence that may follow this sad situation. *On what exactly killed those boys*, the Niger State Governor, Umaru Bago, described the incident as sad and tragic and said it's too early to conclude what killed them. Among the possibilities being investigated, he specifically mentioned suffocation from overcrowding and possible exposure to lead or other hazardous chemicals used in illegal mining activities. The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, ordered the Niger State NSCDC Commandant, Suberu Siyaka Aniviye, to step down from his position immediately pending a full investigation. He has since directed the NSCDC Commandant-General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to conduct a full-scale, transparent and unhindered investigation. The suspended commandant has been directed to report to NSCDC headquarters in Abuja and appear before the investigative panel. The Minister of Solid Minerals, Dele Alake has also deployed a high-powered team from his ministry to Niger State. He said the team would work with other investigators to establish the facts surrounding the deaths. He called for a thorough, transparent, and independent inquiry. 37 souls lost in the hands of the government needlessly. This is traumatic. May God console the families of these teenagers.
