Update: We're going with the $59K Cybertruck and canceling the Model YL reservation
Tip if you're switching orders: Tesla Support told me over the phone to call my local Tesla store. They cancelled the YL and moved my deposit straight over to the Cybertruck, so I didn't lose the $250
Now the wait for the $59K Cybertruck continues
Did we make the right decision?
Ford expects to lose about $4B on EVs this year. GM's product chief called Tesla's camera-only approach a "weird religious stance." Meanwhile Tesla's car business made $4.5B in gross profit last quarter and $804M in net income overall. So who has it figured out?
I will now be more inclined to subscribe to more people simply for this feature
X is going for the streamers and soon will take over Twitch and Kick for real-time video creation. Bookmark this.
𝕏 is testing a much easier way to start livestreaming directly from the post composer on Android
Here's how it works:
• Tap the camera icon and select "Start a live stream"
• Choose who can chat, from everyone to subscribers only
• Tap "Go Live" to start broadcasting
• Interact with viewers through real-time chat
This makes livestreaming much more accessible, letting anyone start broadcasting directly from their phone with just a few taps.
𝕏 continues expanding its capabilities as a global platform for real-time news, information, and live content
Ernie Johnson has decided to retire from sports broadcasting after decades in the industry. He’s been absolutely amazing. Enjoy retirement, my friend. You lived life the way it should be.
Nic is correct. Just as importantly; a large contingent of consumers were waiting to purchase their first EV as the Apple Car. If this acquisition below took place, where would these companies be today?
Fun fact, Apple explored acquiring Tesla in the early 2010s.
@elonmusk even reached out to Tim Cook during Model 3 Production Hell for a potential acquisition because the company was struggling. Tim Cook refused to take the meeting.
Thank goodness. Apple theoretically had the opportunity of acquiring Tesla for less than $100B.
Imagine being the face of the entire internet of the first failed Emergency drive away feature for millions of people to witness
Car rental marketplace Turo will launch it's feature today for guests to filter and book a @Tesla with the vehicles ability to use FSD (Supervised).
Will this increase your Tesla rental usage out of town now that you can have access to FSD?
BREAKING: You can now rent a Tesla with FSD on Turo.
How it works:
-Host links their Tesla account
-Turo verifies FSD through Tesla's API
-Listing shows as self-driving capable
-Guest searches and books. This feature launches this Wednesday, October 28.
My question: Will users abuse the Supervised model and penalize the owner?

If you’re driving manually and take your eyes off the road, even a split second, you could hit these items. FSD, however, has constant “eyes” 360° and even permits lane changing safely.
Fully-autonomous taxi-services remove the chance of awkward uncomfortable driver interactions. The Cybercabs utilizing the Robotaxi network solve this problem, and also; make the tipping optional.
i’m deleting @Uber and moving to @Waymo absolutely
today, my uber driver told me he has four children living in a garage, and that of the $30 i paid for the ride, he was only getting $7.
it’s the 5th time an uber driver has confronted me about tipping him in cash. this time, he pointed to my diamond earrings and trench coat as evidence that i could obviously afford to pay him more.
it’s an astonishing masterclass in incentive design! make the worker desperate enough to go outside their boundaries, make the customer guilty enough to give in, and the company gets off scot-free.
these are deeply uncomfortable situations for customers to be put in. i empathize with the drivers, but being put on the spot and made to feel personally responsible for someone else’s livelihood is a difficult position to be in.
Interesting response from Peter Sellis, Head of Product that replaced Nikita Bier. When presented with an idea to change the badges, Peter posted a meme to “holdup, let him cook”.
What are your thoughts on this?
