i just cannot imagine not giving Léa Seydoux the freshest most delicious pastries known to man if you’re going to make her do this kind of humiliating press circuit. it’s the least my queen deserves!!

This is the kind of game that real baseball-lovers (not a team's fans) love; it's why I still hate the ghost runner (though I get why it saves arms over the course of a season); I don't care who wins the game or this Series, it's just beautiful baseball.

Hot take: I'd rather be part of one of the most entertaining World Series ever and lose like the Blue Jays did last year than win a really boring World Series like the Brewers are about to this year.

If you want to know why the Yankees haven't won a World Series since '09, this is why. It's this attitude. What's unacceptable is the way they are treating champions like Posada.
Talkin' Yanks
@TalkinYanks21h
Jorge Posada was asked if he thinks he could improve the Yankees "unacceptable" behaviors by bringing his fiery attitude and baseball instincts around the current team: "I could, but I don't think they want me there. I don't feel welcome when I go there. Even in Spring Training... So I don't go." (via @nypostsports)

Jorge Posada would probably make an incredible manager. But clearly they are never going to let anyone with any guts manage as long as Cashman is around.

the kind of story that I would be embarrassed to tell, let alone hype up as some great achievement. sorry to marielle about your mom's level of awareness of you as a person

Seeing Street Fighter this morning and Paweł Pawlikowski’s Fatherland in the evening. A real lowbrow/highbrow day for me because I contain multitudes.

elizabeth holmes caused people actual pain. she caused death. she did that. that means everyone is allowed to make fun of her. that’s it. there’s no debate. even if her technology worked, all of her actions around it caused pain anyway. her company caused pain. REAL PAIN.
