Having repeatedly quarrelled with men in my life for referring to their bikes and cars as she, I want to bite influencers calling clothes, make up, jewellery etc “she”.
Cringe factor aside, why ma’am why

Flying over Afghanistan requires requesting permission via a Gmail account at least 48 hours in advance and paying a $700 fee. With no en-route air traffic control, pilots must broadcast their positions and intentions over radio and maintain separation themselves.
Bhatkal is also known for biryani, stuffed mussels, lighthouses and a beach. What conclusions can you come up with with this set of facts Mahesh
A politician who is about to wield influence in Washington is always subject to scrutiny.
Abdul El-Sayed’s rise to the US Senate has Michigan talking, but his Indian connection at home is interesting. Very interesting.
Bhatkal is a name Indians remember from some of the darkest years of Islamist terrorism in this country.
His wife, Dr Sarah Jukaku, traces her family roots to Bhatkal in Karnataka - a town whose name became notorious for the formation of the Islamic terrorist group - the Indian Mujahideen - that carried out multiple terror attacks in India. The terror group’s leadership included brothers Riyaz and Iqbal Bhatkal along with Yasin Bhatkal masterminding major serial bomb blasts across the country.
His father-in-law, Dr Tayeb Jukaku, served on the founders’ committee of the Islamic Society of North America and held leadership positions at CAIR Michigan. Both organisations were named as unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism-financing case.
El-Sayed’s own record raises questions that deserve answers and they begin in Egypt.
In 2012, he signed a statement supporting then-President of Egypt Mohamed Morsi, a Muslim Brotherhood leader, and backing his controversial decree shielding presidential decisions from judicial review. The statement also called for the media and police to be purged.
A year earlier, El-Sayed had written that fears of a Muslim Brotherhood takeover should not deter American support for Egypt’s pro-democracy protests.
Then there are the 2012 posts by his half-sister, Eman Abdelhadi. She wrote that her family had long been associated with the Muslim Brotherhood and referred to their mother’s activism in the organisation in the 1970s.
So, the American leftist media can celebrate a historic victory all it likes. But a historic victory does not make a politician’s past and present disappear.

Schools are spending millions on AI systems designed to spot weapons.
Evidence that these tools actually prevent shootings remains thin, while false alarms can carry serious consequences for students.

This is a scam, “transplanting trees” from an ecosystem as mature as the Sahayadris in the Western Ghats.
Why doesn’t the regime shift the project investment into battery storage project?
No amount of such greenwashing will convince Maharashtra to let the CM sell off Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Sahayadris to his friends’ companies.
This project doesn’t create jobs, and destroys the ecosystem.
The alternative- Battery Storage is what the CM and his regime must try to look at.
By simply destroying an ecosystem and then calling a hydro project/ pump storage “clean energy”, either the cm is being fooled, or he thinks the state can be fooled.
Furthemore, when the cm speaks of the thermal power generation capacity, from coal, if he audits the coal plants across Maharashtra and closes down the coal washeries, the regime will see the energy loss scam.
As far as the pollution goes, the Union regime has relaxed the pollution control norms for thermal power plants, allowing pollution blatantly!

Many years ago My dad a chemist, interviewed for a job, they were taking too long to call him back so he called them told them he’s coming in on Monday to start. They were so stunned and they are like um ok come in Tuesday. He just turned 70 and they are begging him not to retire

As a deleted voter, (and one who’s voted several times) glad this was clarified!
Delhi SIR: SC tells excluded voters not to fear prosecution even as ECI still insists on Form 6
The Supreme Court made it clear that the ECI was in “error” to force pre-existing voters, deleted from the electoral rolls, to apply as new voters under Form 6 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960

A combination of unplanned choices for mobility infra, shoddy and slow construction, and complete inattention to housing needs has collapsed several parts of the city. But the solutions proposed are also a combination of unplanned mobility choices and no mention of housing. As for timelines, we haven't yet hit the timeline on any project, and until that changes, it's a stretch to believe future projects will be delivered on time.

Very few people actually possess a real scientific temperament. And social media makes that painfully obvious, mostly because it thrives on tribalism.
And tribalism kills critical thinking. Even those who loudly claim to be people of science are often stunted by groupthink simply because they belong to a certain camp.
But the fact is true scientific inquiry doesn't belong to any tribe. When you actually dig deep into the evidence, your only loyalty is to the facts, and that gives you the audacity to ask questions.
Not every question is a personal attack!
When you launch health apps or wearables claiming to improve human physiology, you are answerable to the public. But because the average consumer lacks that foundational scientific knowledge, it is incredibly easy to fool them.
The moment a small subset of people step up and ask the hard questions, they immediately get labeled as hateful or toxic. It is a cheap deflection tactic. They call it hate when in reality it is just basic scientific scrutiny.
People need to open their eyes and see things for what they are. You can easily build a multi-million dollar health-tech company by fooling people and riding a fad.
But if we want a truly innovative India, it has to be rooted in robust evidence. Innovation lies in facts and physiological realities, not fads or vibes.
Stop letting the hype and vanity metrics do your thinking for you. Ask the hard questions.
Honestly, and Ive told Deepinder about this in private as well, people want to dislike him more than they care about the product.
He has a polarising perception- either he inspires awe and inspiration, or dislike and hate. No in the middle.
I use Temple. Ive used it. In fact, I bought it with $$. Its a health tracker. Simple as that. How can you hate a health tracker? Who is forcing someone to buy it?
There are some ambitious science projects built into it- CBF, Entropy etc. But I would never see someone hate Whoop, Garmin, Gabit, Oura or any other like that.
People don’t understand second time founder psychology at all. And this is the first sign of a second time founder attempting global tier innovation out of India.
We need to encourage more of this. Way more. After money stops being the incentive, out best and brightest should build global tier tech- hardware and software.
But, one thing Ive learned also from seeing him- the hate for him is well deserved, because only a man as strong headed as him could face it, use it and build bigger and better with it. The size of your enemy is the size of your potential. Your battles are a symptom of your strength, not your weakness.
Except for Juhi Chawla that Apple Diwali spot is such a shoddy piece of work.
I love what i imagine was the thinking but the execution is so lazy
