Every state capital has this one (or multiple, like Bangalore itself) historical market where fresh produce, flowers, पूजा का सामान, loose dry goods are retailed. They should all look like this. Abdul El-Sayed is now saying he won’t work with Democrats & is starting his own party. He ran as a Democrat, used the primary process, & accepted Democratic support to get elected. Now that he has the office, he’s walking away from the party that put him there. He needed the Democratic machine to win he no longer needs it to hold power You can’t make this up

Another paper titled “A Discussion on the Strategic Stability of China-India Relations (试论中印关系战略稳定问题)”, by Song Dexing (宋德星), published in 2021 says, 1-India’s long-term strategy is to reach position similar to US and China in world order and major powers to accept India’s pre-eminent role in South Asia. 2-However, the security and economic imbalance between India and China ensures that relationship is not based on mutual respect. In addition, China-Pakistan relations are also a cause of concern for India. 3-A stable government and active diplomacy under present government have heightened India’s great power ambitions but this has also heightened inter-state crisis have thus requiring better strategy for crisis management. 4-Therefore, China, should pay more attention to India and place it as part of US-China strategic competition and great power dynamics. 5-The current reality of China-India relations is that although strategic weight of bilateral relations in regional and global context is rising but these relations are easily affected by crisis situation. 6-Therefore, China needs to innovate strategic thinking and make effort to resolve difficulties, develop relations with other South Asian countries and develop economic Corporation. Use BRICS, G 20, SCO to advance corporation, reduce strategic mistrust and ensure overall stability in relations.

Overall I feel China views India at three levels with varying priority as given below :- · Priority I - In its global strategy, China places India as part of its strategic competition with US. In general, the Chinese view is that India is a tool that US uses to constrain China in Indo-Pacific and Indian Ocean. · Priority II - China sees Global South as a vehicle to advance its own vision for change the global order. As part of Global South, India is seen as an important member with whom cooperation is necessary for projecting unity and to advance Chinese global ambitions. · Priority III - In the regional context, South Asia has comparatively lower priority for China due to poor connectivity, lesser trade and security issues in the region. However, due to active dispute along Line of Actual Control between India and China, maintaining strategic stability is an important objective of China from both regional as well as global perspective.
