It's funny, really, because Dragon Age (excluding DAtV) is overall a better quality series than Mass Effect: DAO is a masterpiece followed by DA2 (mid) and DAI (good), ME1 is a masterpiece followed by ME2 (which is *at best* on DA2's level) and ME3 which is abysmal dogshit
It's not lost on me that even in death, Mass Effect is still the golden child. Because seriously, where the fuck was all this energy for Dragon Age?

I don't believe it. Lula not only won, he did so with a better margin than in 2022. Incredible.

The right, who promised years of lead 2.0 after Charlie Kirk’s death, one year later:
They shot Charlie Kirk. If that doesn’t get you to the polls idk what will.

Pillars of Eternity isn't dull. It just asks you to read.
Replying to @Knight10293847
No. PoE is just dull. Larian at least gives their games likable characters and a decent story hook.

That's really unfair. It might've been an honest mistake, but knowing what we know about the conflicts within the studio, it looks pretty toxic.
No mention of the game that's been going for almost fifteen years, that supported the studio and all of its projects with income and manpower and time (sometimes to our own detriment). Heartbreaking.

I know I'm going to be crucified for this but, while it is true that bad management from EA was a major factor, BioWare had a fundamentally unworkable internal culture that was bound to blow it up sooner or later. It's a massive loss, but one that in hindsight seems inevitable.

still so so glad EA pushed so hard for BioWare to turn from the single player RPGS they were renowned for and try and move towards live service games instead, like genuinely what the fuck were they thinking

Giving DA to Larian would be a horrible decision. We're talking about a studio that folded and rewrote (for the worse) significant parts of BA3 due to fan "feedback". Can you imagine them having to deal with a fandom as "passionate" as the DA one?
If Mass Effect and Dragon Age can be sold, I hope they will be. These would be my ideal picks: Mass Effect ---> Owlcat Games Dragon Age ---> Larian Studios The problem is, I'm not sure why two busy thriving studios like these would want another IP they didn't create themselves, especially ones that have likely been rung dry of any remaining juice. Larian has actively removed themselves from something like this already by leaving Baldur's Gate for their own Divinity. As terrible as it is, if either of these legendary IP are resurrected, it'll most likely be by a huge passionless entity that only sees dollar signs.

It's because people in 2005 still cared about things like "plot" and "characters" instead of hype moments and aura.
I actively refuse to believe Star Wars fans watched this in 2005 and thought it was straight pungent slop dogshit

It's true that saying this while having a ✝️ in your bio is pretty funny, but people making fun of them should also understand that a lot of modern mainline Christianity is (from an atheist perspective) much more reasonable than astrology.
Astrology is bad not because it is "sky eugenics" but because it is an incorrect belief system, and thus leads one to incorrect conclusions about the world. Holding beliefs proven to be incorrect is bad in and of itself.

The main issue with brutalism is that architecture shouldn't lead people to suicide during the winter months.
The Barbican Estate is brutalism at its most beautiful, where monumental concrete meets nature.

It's even worse in FotS. I'm taking back my Paradox comparison. No corpo other than CA would be this shameless.
They also seem to have used AI to upgrade the unit card illustrations. The last time I saw a corpo being this shameless when it came to releasing absolute slop was Pdx with Leviathan back in 2021.

This whole drama is interesting primarily because it's a perfect example of fandom brainrot. IRL, WLW is much more prevalent, but in fandom spaces the proportions are skewed toward MLM (largely because of women, funnily enough), causing a completely warped perception of reality.
Lesbians are mad about lesbian erasure at the expense of gay men… in ARCANE??? A show with zero canonical mlm representation?

CA revealed the campaign map for the Shogun 2 remake and to absolutely no-one's surprise it's abysmal dogshit. Even the Reddit isn't bying it. I guess they weren't satisfied with fucking-up their new releases and just had to touch the last truly good thing they made.

the fact that this colleen hoover booktok-bolstered film swept the box office the same weekend that warner bros’ final film, which is about the weakness of art and how truly blind we are to the destruction around us, feels deeply poetic and sad.
β€˜VERITY’ debuts with $32.5M domestically and $62.5M at the worldwide box office. It cost $40M to produce.

It's very clear that Marx did not see religion as any kind of valid medicine considering that the "opium of the people" quote is followed by this: "The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is the demand for their real happiness"

The constant attempts to soften the marxist approach to religion are one of the most shameless examples of revisionism on the modern left, with the arguments being almost entirely based on hoping that nobody actually did their reading.
