President Trump's response to the American people overwhelmingly voting against rising costs and his corrupt weaponization of the government: promote @StephenM to Chief of Staff and double down on the policies that brought him the loss in the first place. And then have Stephen draft a tweet threatening to put me in jail. This shouldn’t be controversial: if you break the law or use taxpayer dollars to enrich yourself, you should be held accountable. If you didn’t break the law, then it’s all good. Mr. President, your threats of legal action and worse didn’t work when you tried to criminally indict me in front of a grand jury last February. Or when you threatened it again last month. If anything, your hair-trigger obsession on the issue of corruption and illegal orders reveals more about you then it does about me. If you care at all about the American people who sent you such a strong message on Tuesday, you’d be working on plans to end the war with Iran, end the sloppy tariffs, and deal with the impending impact of your healthcare cuts — which take effect on January 1.
