Christmas was literally my favorite time growing up in Lagos because everyone everywhere was just so happy but last time I went home I could feel the sadness and struggle to survive. It was very hard to have fun or pretend not to see the level of poverty. Very sad.

I really hate how Nigeria doesn’t do Christmas properly. No proper Christmas markets, no stores dedicated to Christmas decor, nothingggg. You can barely find anywhere to shop for beautiful Christmas decorations. It’s so annoying because I love Christmas so much 😭🎄
