It is only in Nigeria where you move fuel price from 230 to 1,400, a 508.70% increase, and still be confident of winning an election.

You can't, in one breath, say “Nigeria is poor” and then show ministers driving Rolls-Royce and civil servants flying private jets
Your optics don't match your data
No minister anywhere in the UK, US, EU or OECD drives a Rolls-Royce in official capacity; none (even if they can afford it)
If Nigeria is poor? (she is not) then let the “poverty” reflect in how the executive and legislature spend public taxes

When Saudi Arabia and UAE need rain, they don't pray for it. They seed the sky. That's science.
When Israel need defence against missile, they don't pray, they made iron dome. That's science.
Don't rely on spirituality, what science would do.

Look at how small ants are compared to us. We go about our daily lives without bothering about what they’re up to. Sometimes we step on them without even realizing it. Whether they thank us for dropping sugar or curse us for destroying their homes makes no difference to us. We don’t even notice or care
We don’t have a favourite ant, and even if we did, we probably wouldn’t be able to identify it once it was mixed in with the others
That’s how insignificant their existence is from our perspective, largely because of the massive difference in scale between us and them
Now imagine beings responsible for creating the universe, existing on a scale far beyond anything we can comprehend. Why would they be so invested in our affairs? Why would they care who we worship, what we eat or how we live our lives?
Our obsession with feeling special might be what makes us believe that such beings are deeply concerned about us, assuming they exist at all.

This story is full of contradictions, the most obvious being that Hamzat was asked to step down for you in spite of all his "qualifications."
You then left out the most important detail that concerns us: exactly why he was asked to step down.
The answer, of course, lies in the fallout of 2019. After Ambode was humiliated out of office for trying to be his own man — a people’s governor rather than a machine henchman — it became obvious to any keen observer of Lagos politics that servility and malleability would become top of the list of qualities the kingmakers would want from a governor, far ahead of credibility or qualifications.
And they got exactly that: governors who answer to the Palace, not to the people of Lagos.
Most of you know this story, but none of you have heard it from me.
Back in September 2018, Femi Hamzat wanted to be Governor of Lagos State. He had thirteen years of public service under Asiwaju and BRF, with the record and backing to win. Then party leaders asked him to step aside for me.
It takes a rare man to put down what he wants without nursing a grudge. Femi shook my hand and five weeks later, agreed to run beside me. I have never forgotten that.
Anyone can read a CV but only the person in the room with a man when the cameras leave can tell you who he really is. For 2,711 days, I have been in that room with him.
When COVID-19 hit, when we faced our hardest weeks, when the Blue and Red Lines ran and when the Lekki Deep Sea Port opened, Femi was there. Long before any ribbon was cut, he was asking the tough questions an engineer asks.
In many states, deputies are kept in reserve. On day one, Femi promised to be the best deputy governor in Lagos history. He kept his word. In seven years, there has not been a single day I wondered whose side he was on. We have had one government, one direction, and one voice.
Lagos runs on a relay system. The baton is never passed to a runner standing still. You run at full speed inside the exchange zone, together, before the pass. That is how Lagos has been governed for 27 years, from Asiwaju to BRF, to Ambode, to me.
Femi is a deputy governor like no other. He built the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge under Fashola, digitized government under Asiwaju and holds a doctorate in engineering. His father served Lateef Jakande. This is in his blood.
Critics say Lagos keeps choosing from the same pool. I say Lagos trains its people. With major projects underway and a master plan stretching to 2052, this is not the time to experiment. What Femi presents today is not a campaign promise cooked up on a bus, it is the next leg of a race we have been running since 1999.
Lagos does not hand the baton to a man standing still. Today, you have seen the man who is already running. Let us move forward together with The Lagos PROMISE.

For a country with a massive shortage of ambulances, the number of campaign buses is ridiculous

This is something I used to ask myself until I realised that we live in a low-trust society.
It's often easier to scam Westerners precisely because they come from high-trust societies, and we mistake that trust for stupidity.
Take the US, for example. You can print your own check, deposit a check by simply taking a picture with your banking app, and even start using some of the money before the check has fully cleared. You don't even have to visit a bank.
Compare that with most parts of Africa, where something as simple as forgetting your banking app password can mean physically visiting a bank branch with all your identification documents.
We have become so accustomed to suspicion and distrust that we mistake our cunningness for intelligence and other people's trust for foolishness.
We think we are smarter because we are harder to fool, without realising that we have built societies where nobody trusts anybody.

I think we know deep down that death is the end, and everything we do is to just distract us from that truth. Think about what you remember about before you were born. That is what it will be like when you die, you switch off.
Have a nice day.

This is very disturbing, annoying, insensitive and has to be a stupid prank! Doctors are striking, Hospitals are dilapidated, our roads are death traps, insecurity is at its all time highest. Yet you guys are casually and proudly gifting away brand new Prados for ‘Election Mobilization activities’…OMO!

NAFDAC is not serious to fight fake items in Nigeria
In Abuja alone,
they are aware of
- Maraba(Aso pada) : that's where almost every sachet drink in Abuja is made. All fake. Any Alomo or Passa or Squad or chelsea you take in Abuja is fake from there. More drinks in bottles come from there. Even henessy.
- Dangbanna in Jikwoyi : Fake beer. Fake hot drinks too.
Bring down Maraba unit and you have saved Abuja 40% of fake drinks. If I can know these, NAFDAC knows, they should question their officers taking bribe
They should question the police taking bribe
This is war, our lives are on the line
